Star Trek vet joins Online creative team
Trekkers
the world over can get out their communicators and dust off those old Leonard Nimoy albums tonight (or not). IGN is
reporting that longtime sci-fi veteran Andrew Probert will be working with Perpetual Entertainment as a design
consultant on Star Trek
Online. Probert worked on Star Trek: The Motion Picture and was the Senior Illustrator for the first season of Next Generation. He is responsible for crafting Romulan and Ferengi vessels, Picard's Enterprise D, and was involved with the original Battlestar Galactica. He even traded in his Spock ears for mouse ears to become a Disney Imagineer.
Along with computer interface designer Michael Okuda, Perpetual has lined up some top Trek talent to ensure authenticity with their upcoming MMORPG. Fascinating, but still no release stardate.

I'm not getting my hopes up too much, but with both Probert and Okuda onboard, at least the damn thing will -look- good.

Interesting. Q1 2006? Can't wait to see what this is all about. I am not into MMORPG at all but this could interest me.
