Other studios contributing to the development of a title isn't all that uncommon. What should be more of a bad sign is if the title is almost done and it changes publisher hands, especially if the title has had problems in the past.

Yes, let us not have it turn into another Starcraft: Ghost-that's already headed for the LAME DUCK rack.[notice I never mentioned the DUKESTER-8+years-jeeeeeez!]

Almost agreed with post #2, but... "Starcraft: Ghost" was given to Swingin' Ape Studios. Their last (only?) effort for consoles was "Metal Arms: Glitch in the System". That title was well-received, fan-applauded, and just plain fun.
