Mac OS X Users: Apple-Shift-8, and Apple-Shift-= will allow you to turn on zooming and zoom in to get a less eye-straining experience. :-)

Apple-Shift-8 will turn the zooming off again.

Sorry, use "option" instead of "shift" and it'll actually work. D'oh.

That 'Asteroids' game is so claustrophobia-inducing. Especially after nights of 16:9 HD 'Geometry Wars...'

Why are you guys telling people how to increase its size? Its meant to be be played in a 18x18 pixel container...If you want to play it at 500% orignal, play the numerous other full games...

On a positive note, I made it to level 5 in breakout, then I needed a few Tylenols...lol

Heh, I've known about this sort of game for probably 5 years or so. At least lots of people haven't heard of it so it seems new.

Anyone remember Paddle Wars from Commandar Keen? That was the best part of that game.

hate to be picky but I doubt that would cause a migraine. I'm a regular sufferer, I could happily play that all day without a twinge in the ol noggin

It's been done before. There used to be a website called www.tinywindowsgames.com (run by dynofoo.com) that had tiny games. (NOTE: the domain seems to have been bought by a link spammer.) I have 3 of them downloaded - Tetris, Simon, & Breakout. The site was taken down over copyright violations, but here's a Wayback of it:

Old news. Why, I used to dialup GuimpLink on my 1200 baud modem back when it was monochrome and you needed a Hercules adapter to get the full effect. Before that we could only dream of extravagent 18x18 graphics. The predecesor to the site was 18x18 text mode and you had to request each frame update via Arpanet email. Pong? We didn't have Pong on it then, Bushnell would have sued their asses out of buisness, on acount of Pong was their bread and butter back in those days.
