The Nintendo DS already has games where you pretend to be a skilled surgeon
or a vocal lawyer, but what about playing a "mysterious thief" who pretends to be everyone (and
everything) else? That's the premise of Kaitou Rousseau, though we have no idea whether such a title
would make it to the West or not.
If you're expecting a game explicitly geared for girls, however (based on the screenshot of the game's main protagonist to the right), you might be disappointed: it's just the rather male Rousseau playing at being a girl, in addition to his other adventures imitating police officers, odd sculptures, and apparently a window frame. Tracing new faces is the way to get through this puzzle-laden masquerade. Check out the Watch Impress site for more details and screens [via insert credit].
Japanese gamers can expect to start tracing a few disguises on their DSes sometime later this year, and hopefully the game will prove to be just as delightful as a certain doodle-based title we've seen recently (while providing a bit more depth than another that's been released).
