It's the moment you've (probably) been waiting for: a
hands-on, in the flesh sit-down with Sony's next-gen entry to the console wars. Kikizo has the goods, having gotten the
rare opportunity to check it out at three developers in different territories. What does this mean? Simply put, we are
given an authentic look at how the PS3 is shaping up so far with the game makers.Because of the nature of this update, we aren't given any names or specifics concerning the developers or their titles (we know what might happen if they did). Pumped full of information, five pages worth to be exact, this preview details everything from the ergonomics to the display of physics and speculation over the release. So how does it stack up? The results may surprise you. Kikizo says the PlayStation 3 doesn't exactly stomp the Xbox 360 by leaps and bounds the way Sony has been proclaiming. But keep in mind that the material they worked with is still in development, after all, and could hardly be considered final.
Is it disappointing? Absolutely not. Does it still need some polish here or there? Yes, but we're still a good ways off from seeing a release (perhaps even into the summer). Regardless, the future is looking bright. Stay tuned for more information as it surfaces.
