Is Rare vying for a Pokemon killer?

All indications are pointing to a resounding "Yes". Codenamed Viva Piñata, this project could be Microsoft and Rare's trump card against the pocket monster phenomenon that just won't die. This bit comes to us by way of Game Informer where it also tells us the title could be released in union with (you guessed it) a cartoon show.

Just in case you were curious, there is an application for the trademark at the Patent Office. Something tells me this won't stop with playing cards either.
