The answer to that question actually has
nothing to do with a manufacturer, rather, it's the gamer that wins. When competition runs high, the consumer comes out
on top. 1up writes: "Where once Nintendo's console ran neck and neck with the Xbox, Microsoft has taken a decisive
lead in terms of installed base and units sold and other similar statistics. Where roughly 20 million GameCubes have
been sold worldwide, the Xbox is up to about 22 or 23 million. As it happens, the only Xbox number that doesn't seem to
be quite as impressive as GameCube's is, well, earnings -- at last count, MS has lost about four billion dollars on the
Xbox business."Console war, shmonsole war. But I guess we just wouldn't be gaming geeks without such a fan invented nerd battle.
