New Lara Croft chosen to represent the Raider for Eidos

A new in-the-flesh Lara Croft chosen by EidosEidos has a new flesh 'n' blood face to represent the Raider in its revamped action franchise: model and actress Karima Adebibe.

Karima has apparently worked as a sales assistant at British clothing chain Topshop, with possibly a small role as a "Sacrificial Maiden" in AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) to boot.

Whether the choice of actress will apply to the updated Lara's appearances beyond the UK was not detailed--on a news round up which claims to cover "what's happening in the World of F.U.K." (Er, Future UK? Fastcars UK?). It is nice, however, to witness a bit player in a movie where aliens train in an ancient temple move on up to tomb-raiding protagonist... or at least the model for one.
