Once again,
trusty sources deliver on the goods where Sony refuses to talk. The alleged Xbox Live killer is on the prowl and has
plans on entrusting gamers with features that will more than prove that Sony is a contender in the online service
department.Called PlayStation HUB, the subscriber service (which does suggest a monthly charge, of course) aims to provide gamers with everything Xbox Live can do and more. Expect demos, chat, indie games and online play. Okay there's nothing new there, but how about movies and music as well. The idea is nothing novel, as we've heard people talk about how the Microsoft service has this potential too. But then again, if Sony can deliver this from the get-go, they may give the Xbox 360 a run for its money.
In another speculative move, the same article advocates that we may see the PS3 on September 21 here in the States, only five days after the Japanese release. This is coming from yet another developer source, so this may change like the wind before too long.
