Peculiar? not at all, almost all UMD's go for more than the DVD version!

The UMD version is more money due to the production costs of converting multi-channel sound to stereo, lowering the video resolution, and taking out all of the extra features.

standard edition = edition that we've all already seen. don't think that they don't know.

it's special 'cause it comes in a box.

You know, its kinda strange. I talked to the people down at the local gamestop about a month ago, when I heard about it coming about on jan 10. And they did not know what I was talking about, and they did their thing on the pc, and ended up saying it comes out on 4.25.

About a week ago, I saw all the rumors flying around, so I went back down there, and they still said it was the 24th. They said something about a street date and since square published the street date, it was set in stone (or something in that sense).

So I guess the real proof is just to ask the guys at a game store. Who woulda thunk of that? go figure

Phew! I'd heard that it wasn't going to be here until Christmas time but now it's close enough to release that I won't feel like Bit-Torrenting it.

The voice cast sounds good too.

I had already downloaded it via BitTorrent a long time ago and loved it...and I'll still be buying the DVD so I can watch all the extra goodies.

Not to put down anyone's acting ability (existant or not) but has anyone ever been won over by or even cared that there were celebrities doing voice-over?

"Hey, you wanna go see Advent Children?"
"Nah, not really..."
"Rachel Leigh Cook is the voice of Tifa."
"NO WAY! The Rachel Leigh Cook?! I'm so there!"

Yea...
