You mean they might actually tell us something about the PS3 instead of just flashing pre-rendered trailers at us? Let me be the first to say, "finally!!!"
Shouldn't the PS3 be launched by then...if they're sticking to Spring 2006?

Well, hopefully some information about PS3 and the Revolution will be revealed at the GDC.
Personally, I really think that Sony and Nintendo, is going to wait for E3, before they release any key information.
As for Sony making a spring launch, I see that next to impossible now. I would imagine that PS3 isn't in mass production yet, and even if they are, they aren't nowhere ready to launch.
As for myself, I won't be buying a PS3 at launch, but I am considering to buy one, once the price drops. I think the PS3 has potential, and if Sony plays their cards right, then we may see a repeat of this current generation.

What, more broken promises and faulty hardware? I can't wait.

I agree with you, that Sony has broke many promises, their hardware has been faulty. The point I was trying to make, is that no matter, if the samething happens this time around (broken promises, faulty hardware, etc), people are still going to buy it, because they like Sony products.
As for myself, I'm going to buy a Revolution, because I believe that Nintendo has a good strategy this time around. Nintendo did make mistakes with the Gamecube, no doubt on that one, but they're appear to be making up for it, with Revolution.
A couple years down the road, I plan to purchase the PS3 as well. The PS3 does seem like that it'll have some great games.
No doubt, this next generation will be interesting.

Umm I guess you missed the announcement Nintendo made some time back that they would be fully unveiling the Revolution at their Pre-E3 press conference on May 9th at the Kodak Theater...or the recent statements that the system would be playable at the E3 show floor.
"instead of just flashing pre-rendered trailers at us."
I guess you must have selected memory b/c you are forgetting about the MGS4 TGS trailer, the FF7 tech demo and the real time Unreal Engine tech demos shown at E3.

No, more top knotch gaming on a well built system.
Well that's been my experience anyway, and I thank Sony very much for the memories.
There are waaaaay to many gaming snobs around aren't there?
The PS2 delivered more than many people expected and it's still going as strong as ever.
I take my hat of to them.
I take my hat off to Microsoft for keeping in the game.
And I salute Nintendo for services to gaming in the face of stiff competition.
Lets hear it for console gaming!
Hip hip.... ok forget it, but we really are spoilt nowadays aren't we.

Features? Information?
No, he'll just fuel the hype fire by indirectly bashing Nintendo and Microsoft.

Here's a realistic look at the potential Sony has for online in the next generation.
But xbox fanboys beware -- even though this editorial was written by teamXbox.com, it's sparked a lot "$ONY SUCKS. Halo's better than Killzone anyday" feelings when it was posted earlier this week.

Yea I'm sure that is fair...an Xbox specific site doing an editorial on a competitors product.

The conference is for developers only. Look at the agenda. The whole conference is loaded with high-tech info on the PlayStation 3: RSX, Online matchmaking, Audio, Cell etc.
And you'll have to be a registered PlayStation 3 developer, so we won't get every piece of information.
It's okay for me, if they haven't settled for a launch date. They'll choose territory/ies and timeframe when the software is ready ship. That makes sense in my book.

Jago, what's interesting about the editorial is that it's unbiased and gives a glimpse of what leverage Sony actually brings to the table.
This is a bresh of fresh air from all the comments like, "Microsoft spent $1 billion dollars researching the matchmaking and FriendsList tech in Live. Sony could never reproduce that!!!"
