The TGS (or rather the
Taipei Game Show) brought a smidgen of news regarding the PS3 launch (or lack thereof). Unfortunately, it's nothing to
get excited about. Sony insists on being hazy about an official release date on the next-gen console. Managing director
Tetsuhiko Yasuda had this to say to reporters: "We want to be completely prepared when we bring PlayStation 3 to
the marketplace."He continues on to say that Sony's biggest competition is counterfeiters (and not Microsoft?). Whatever the case may be, Sony says its interests will be working with government authorities to keep these fakes from showing up. While we all want to see the PlayStation 3 as early as possible, gamers everywhere should agree that producing a quality product is a higher priority than rushing one out the door.
