I guess it depends on what they have in development for Atari contractually, and what they can offer another publisher outside of that. The Matrix license, while interesting, won't necessarily get a push from another movie as the trilogy is over. But there is still life in the property if properly exploited.

Didn't Enter the Matrix sell over a million copies? Sure, the game was lousy, but it had to of made money.

Where did you hear they were making a new Earthworm Jim?! That could be pretty sweet if it's better than the first 3D one.

I'm sorry - did I read that correctly? A new Earthworm Jim game? And Shiny's developing it? When did this news break?

I am ecstatic.

My g/f actually works there and while she is a little worried (which is understandable) I don't see Shiny going anywhere.

I've actually met Dave Perry a couple of times (both at Shiny events and at IGDA meetings) and he is a VERY smart business man (and an incredibly nice guy as well.)

I'm sorry chris, but "Enter the matrix" was a very entertaining game. Sure, it is not the best game ever, but it is certainly worth the 20 bucks I paid for it (and for the Gamecube), nice slomo shooting and kicking ass action with a double storyline. Hey, at least the storyline was better than the second Halo's storyline.

What's with the posed pic? Doesn't look too natural. Is he trying to break into modeling?

That's from his website:

http://www.dperry.com

Its a pretty decent website for industry information and the details of various game industry jobs.

I echo the calls for a source on this fourth EWJ rumor. Rockstar was responsible for EWJ3D (and for some reason, they refuse to apologize for that stinkburger), and Majesco handled the portable rerelease. If there's some concrete proof that Shiny is working on another EWJ game, then I'll be there faster than you can turn on Mrs. Schultz's porch light in Germany.

PS - Please tell me someone else gets that reference.

A new EWJ is not a rumor...it has been stated numerous times when a news story talks about Shiny or Atari.
