Im confused. Does it mean it will be released or not in 2006? Why does the writer think it translates to "no"?

I work at a Blockbuster and the database there has a release date scheduled of October 10th if my memory serves me correctly. Regardless it did say it was October. Usually our computers are reliable.

I think Halo3 will be released when the Halo-Film hits the cinemas.

I am impatiently waiting for Halo 3 as well.

However, just remember that we want them to spend time with it. If they rush Halo 3, most of us won't like it anyway. Game sequels take extra effort in order to be as or more compelling than its predecessor. If Bungie pumped out Halo 3 this year, I would actually be disappointed that they didn't spend more time on it.

I agree with Kim about the launch titles. There was a good variety. Variety is good; I don't like to be locked into one game all the time. Between the available titles to date and the XBLA titles, I've been plenty entertained to date. And there is always Halo 2.

3 Xbox 360 related articles in a row. That's nice to see. I was getting tired of the PS3 launch date speculation. We'll pretty much have to leave Sony be with that until we get some reliable information.

What he is trying to say is that they don't want hype for Bungie's next project to detract hype from some of the other great games that are coming out this year. They don't want sales for those games to be weakened simply because of hype for "Halo 3". Basically, they don't want to be competing with themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear any details of Bungie's next project until some of the other games he mentions in the article are launched. I think there is a real possibility that people would forgo some titles and simply wait for Bungie's next offering if they do so. It makes business sense, but that doesn't mean I don't want to know what Bungie is working on.

Bungie can take all the time they need with Halo 3. The longer they take the better it will be.
Besides didnt Fable producers feel pressured to finish the game so they threw out a lot of ideas they had in mind and unfortunately made the game short yet sweet.

Why does everyone forget that Bungie said themselves their next game will *not* be Halo 3?

Personnelly I don't want to play Halo 3 in 2006. I don't Bungie to feel pressured at all making it, that way we're assumed a far more satisifing experience then if was rushed.

seems like the only people not talking about Halo 3 is in fact Bungie.

BTW, my last post....feel free to make fun of my grammar.

I think that Isurus hit the nail on the head with his comment. Microsoft does not want to jeapordize the success of possbile system- seller by Halo 3. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bungie skipped E3 this year and just debuted their game on something like the MTV they did for the Xbox 360. It would make moer sense too, so they wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of making a demo like last time around.

They never said those words. They have not confirmed weather or not they are making Halo 3(Because that's just how Bungie is. They denied a Halo 2 even when it was obvious they were making one). Bungie did however say they would like to start work on a totally new IP and that they are persuing that. But Microsoft owns Bungie and Microsoft has announced(Bill Gates himself said) that Bungie is making Halo 3 and it will be out with the ps3, and then later that it would release when it's ready(probably cause Bungie stepped up and was like, what, wtf?). In any case I can wait for a new Halo for another year or so. Halo 2 is still popular enough, in the meantime I'll enjoy Farcry Instincts and the Next Chapters when it comes out.

If it does release this year, I would think that the single player will be a dismal as halo 2's. If they do not spend the time on it, it will just be another reason for me to not buythe 360.

I don't think Halo3's going to come out until Summer 2007 thats also supposed to be when the Halo Movie comes out and a new Halo novel will come out but no one knows for sure. Heck we may be waiting until 2008 for Halo3.
