Turbine
has announced that Midway will co-publish The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (formerly
Middle-earth Online) in North America. After severing ties with VU
Games last year, it looked as if Turbine was going to self-publish the long overdue Tolkien-based MMORPG.
Instead, Midway, undertaking its first MMO venture, has joined the developer-publisher in an effort to release the game
this year.

I hope its not PC only this would go great with the 360 version of Battle for middle earth2

It is PC only. I can't wait for this. It's the only MMORPG that I'm looking forward to after WoW. The developers say that what players do in the world will actually have a lasting effect on the world which is a 1st I believe for a MMORPG.

No, WoW has world events, just not like lasting lasting stuff. Like you cant move a rock somewhere and its perminatly there. If THAT was allowed, I can totally see contests to see how many rocks can be put in one pile.

the aq gates open no matter what eventually, it's all scripted in wow. there is little if anything that has lasting effects.
good news for turbine, should calm down the vaporware people some more.
