would be nice if they could release a full game when it goes gold, but I guess I'm living in the past. Especially if its a console game where the majority of probably won't patch their games.

That's great- though the option for 16 players would have been even better. I hope for IW's sake that what could be a fantastic multiplayer game doesn't get totally overshadowed by Ghost Recoc, though I'll always hold that fantastic SP campaign in high regard anyway.
By the way, is that a Call of Duty screenshot you have posted there? I've never seen those "country-bubbles" above soldiers' heads.

Who cares,it took Infinity forever to get this resolved. BFMC and GR are about to be released and thats all that is needed.

Just wondering...
Is there such a game where you can have a multi-man fight online? Not guns, just ordinary fighting (ofcourse with fireballs and maybe a weapon or two) like dead or alive, or street fighter or something?
If there isnt I would sure love someone to make such a game *cough*
Kinda like a live Dragon Ball Z episode where you port to a planet and try to destroy the first thing(s) that moves.
Or will I have to wait for Super Smash Bros Online?

I really like CoD2 when I first got it, but after finishing the game, the Multiplayer turned me off from it. Halo 2 once again became my game of choice, even on my 360, simply because of it's multiplayer.
If this patch truly does what they say, I am very excited to pop CoD2 back in the 360, that is, once I get tired of Fight Night 3! :)

Kilgore:
That's from the online multiplayer, Team Deathmatch. Your allies have the country bubbles over their heads to differentiate between friend and foe.

Soon is not a date, I just wish they could tell us a time frame.
Tom @ Feb 27th 2006 1:35PM
I hope we can talk to each other during deathmatch too... thats kinda stupid...

Well still no definate when, but kinda nice to see several things, i would be happy with just lag but they are adding more common things that should be there in the first place.
Just have to hope the new ghost recon next week has its multiplayer actually finished :)

Doug:
Heh. That would go to show how many CoD2 multiplayer games I've actually joined. I think it's somewhere around five. I decided that it was really cool when there was no lag, but there was only no lag in half of one of those games.
I just went back to playing team snipers.

Any news on the PC version patch?
guano @ Feb 27th 2006 3:42PM
Why is IW supporting the 360 version and not the PC one, where I assume most of their customers are?
Douggy @ Feb 27th 2006 3:58PM
This sucks! I just traded my copy of COD2 in last week, cause I was tired of waiting for a patch to be released (not that it should have been necessary in the first place). Anyone else in the same boat?
Art Guy @ Feb 27th 2006 5:40PM
guano - Console versions of most games sell better than their PC counterparts.
WyattERP @ Feb 27th 2006 7:47PM
I think this is going to come too late...BUT, with the biggest user-base of any 360 game so far, I could be wrong. With the "march" of March releases just a couple weeks off, I don't think the first batch of games is going to compare (GRAW, BF2, Oblivion). Or maybe I just want my GRAW NOW! At least a demo please?
