Ecko and the industry, part deux

Last
week, we
reported on
the first part of
metro's interview with fashion designer Marc Ecko, whose new game
Getting Up: Contents
Under Pressure has just been released to
mixed reviews.
Metro has
posted the second part of the interview, and there are plenty of juicy quotes abound:
- On how the game has
been received by the gaming community (we think): "They’re scared that she went to the prom and she lost her
virginity and she might leave the house."
- Comparing the fashion industry to the games industry:
"If you think that the fashion industry is filled with divas, no, the worst divas are the guys who got wedgies in
high school."
- On making another game: "Yeah, this is my first baby. This is my 'She’s
gotta have it.' The next baby will be twins or triplets."
His diction may be a little more colorful
than your average industry interview, but one thing is made abundantly clear from the
metro piece: Marc Ecko
is a gamer. He reads IGN and knows enough to reference
Call of Duty and
Black. You may not like his
game (or even know who he is), but this man has fulfilled a dream we have all at one point had, and that is to make a
video game. We are hesitant, but curious to see his sophomore effort.
