New Dead or Alive movie stills

TeamXbox has seven new preview stills from the Dead or Alive movie, featuring Devon Aoki (2 Fast 2 Furious, Sin City) and Jaime Pressly (Mortal Kombat: Conquest, My Name is Earl). You can view the teaser trailer at RopeofSilicon.com, but don't get your hopes up. While Uwe Boll isn't involved with this one, the cheese factor is still high. It's all here: bad dialog, lame costumes, and cheap imitation sets such as the bamboo forest from House of Flying Daggers.
At least we know Devon (deadly little Miho) knows how to use a sword. Sin City 2 can't come fast enough.

My review FROM THE FUTURE: Awful. Just awful.
That pretty much covers it. The ONLY thing that can save this movie is if it gets a XXX rating. And some new cast members.

Sone of a Bi*ch. I liked the DOA girls because of how they looked. excactly. I don't like they way real girls look. I like anime. I don't wanna see real girls. This will ruin DOA.

Devon Aoki... I don't get the obsession Holywood seems to have with this girl for small parts. She isn't that great of an actress and while this isn't that important, I just think she looks weird.

Yes Raymond, they should cater to the small niche who wants a damn DoA hentai movie. Instead of maybe getting some actual sales and putting real women in it.

Let's all shut up and go watch the X-Men III trailer on Xbox Live. It. Is. AWESOME.
I like DOA as much as the next guy, but I have difficulty understanding the plot. And only Kasumi has a sword. Duh.
I like Jaime Pressly and My Name is Earl, but she is NOT Tina.

(Also: What's wrong with Devon Aoki? I think they've got the part of Kasumi nailed, in the cleanest sense of the word.)

I think it's just that most Americans (including film directors) aren't that used to seeing Asian girls, so they're not really attuned to what an attractive one looks like. I think she's pretty bochi-bochi myself, honestly. She'd be nothing if she was trying to make movies anywhere in Asia.
Anyway, none of these girls are anything special. And yes, Pudie, that means I wouldn't hook up with any of them. I got a better looking girl living in my house, for christ's sake.

X-Men III looks good?!?! Did we watch the same trailer? Lame costumes, lame settings (suburbs, forests, etc), and lame rehashed story from X2.
Now DOA does looks cheesy, but so is the game. Plus, the actresses should have been chosen by breast size. I probably won't see it.

Anyone notice that the yellow-hangers in the back look absolutely fake and terribly computer generated? I expect that in a game running at 60 fps, but that accounts for scaling around in real time.
Check out the photos on the site through the link, and look at the picture closely. I'm almost positive that the background in that shot is computer generated, and poorly at that.

Tony, I totally agree.
Devon Aoki happens to have a rich daddy. (the guy who owns Benihana) This is one reason why she, despite looking like the plastic spawn of Chucky, manages to get a lot of movie parts here in the US.
Also, she does have a decent body. What they should do is have her body double for someone that looks even moderately attractive.
But her agency and her dad make sure her name's out there, so whenever they need a token Asian girl who has some curves, they pick her...because Hollywood's just about as original as EA is.

Why can't video game developers for a fighting game even get the martial arts poses right?! only one of them knows how to hold the sword correctly for a start, and don't get me started on those high elbows... its all so wrong

I also can't stand Devon Aoki. Someone said in an earlier post that Americans don't know what an attractive Asian girl looks like. I beg to differ. Kelly Hu. that's a pretty asian girl. I think Devon used to be a car model and for some strange reason she's doing Hollywood movies. Anyway, she's scary looking, and I don't think her body is all that either. She's not fat which is the only thing she has going for her.

Helena, Tina, and Christie. Geesh, before you bash this movie any more, you should really research the game thoroughly.
