PSP v3.0 pics surface -- authenticity in question

PSP v3.0A slew of new PSP firmware v3.0 pictures, courtesy of YourPSP.com forum user Katjana, have begun circulating the Internet. As always, the authenticity of the images is in question. Still, we can't help but be intrigued by the features that could be coming in Sony's next big firmware update:
  • Sony Mail
  • SonyPaint
  • Sony Organiser (notice the use of an "s" and not a "z" in "Organiser")
  • AlarmClock
  • Writepad
  • Console Security
  • Music Store connectivity
  • PS3 connectivity
If true, it looks like the PSP is becoming a clunky hybrid-PDA. What happened to gaming? Given the PSP's limited control scheme, emailing, doodling, organizing, or taking notes could prove tedious. And, while a direct-download service offering music is nice, why not include videos and XBL Arcade-esque games? But let's not get ahead of ourselves, folks. This is just unconfirmed speculation, for now.
