Will Wright narrates SPORE gameplay video
22
Sure, it's nearly a year late in making its way onto the internet, but Will Wright's SPORE presentation from last year's GDC, titled "The Future of Content", is now available on Google video. Will Wright narrates the entire 36 minute video, discussing things like mating, Care Bears, and the finer points of procedural synthesis, so watch it already!

UPDATE: Commenter bob correctly notes that the video has been available on the GDCTV website, although registration is required. Consider this the first time it's been available to those who are afflicted with web-registration paranoia.

Am I the only one who eventually got tired of hearing Wright say "Um" every 2nd or 3rd word?

Note that the GDCTV video has an intro that makes up about half of the final video length. I hope someone puts up the entire thing.

Knowing Will Wright, the first spore expansion will come out before the game actually does.
Spore: Bacterial House Party
Spore: Hot Date on Murcury
Spore: Galactic University
Dear God, please make him stop!

he forgot one thing, parallel universes. you should be able to zoom out even further and see your universe in something like a snowglobe, then see that snowglobe sitting on a desk, with a collection of snowglobes.

According to gamefaqs the itll be out Q3 this year, Im guessing itll have delays like every other game I want so spring-summer 2007 is my guess.
Also I wasnt really impressed at first thinking that theres no way it could have everything Will was touting... but WOW this is now on my must get game list! When he zooms out the first time was amazing and by the time he goes all galactic I was in to much shock to even register it.

Hey!!! my friend is on the Spore team and he says the game would rock. According to him, this game would "change the way people perceive games". Also the game is near completion, but he wasn't ready to divulge on the release date. Lets c whats in store.
