Yesterday, IGN posted a hands-on bit where they sat down with a preview build of Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires for the Xbox 360. They go into pretty good detail on most the next-gen features, however one of the large points of the preview is that this certain version has very little improvement to the current generation of graphics that can be seen with the same title on the PS2. However, keep in mind that they still have some time to polish it up before release, if only a little.
An improved strategic element has been added to the game as well. Players will be able to control not only their main character, but over all the troops by way of issuing commands. The preview points out that this is crucial when things start getting heated since you'll be able to dictate the outcome of battle a lot easier this way. Longtime fans will enjoy the otherwise consistent style of gameplay they're used to with this franchise. DW5 is due out later this month.
