it says "find the key" a little bit above and to the right of the timer as well, for what it's worth.

PASSWORD ENTRIES CORRECT: 0
PASSWORD ENTERIES INCORRECT : 1,048
USERNAMES CORRECT: RMORROW

So yeah. No idea what that means.

That picture, to me, clearly is the same shot of an armored warrior walking forwards that has been used in Oblivion promos. It's from the shoulders up, and you can plainly see the shape of thelmet around his face.

I agree this is probably somebody just screwing around. If they were going to do something for Halo 3 they would not reuse their old ilovebees deal. They would come up with something new. I'm sure right after ilovebees.com debuted someone bought up the domain of ilovebees2 just in case. Don't even bother with this site.

though I'm not sure why they would start viral marketing for oblivion only 3 weeks before it comes out.

It would make sense for them to say its fake because they have never officially said Halo 3 is in the works.

Really don't think it was Bungie or MS as the audio file is embedded quicktime. I think MS or their affiliates would use WM? Just a thought.

Plus, even if it was Bungie, it wouldnt make any sense. Theres typos and spelling errors all over the place, thats obviously the oblivion screenshot, and the guy from Bungie could have easily said he didnt know instead of saying its fake. Plus, if it IS Bungie/Microsoft, what the hell would they be doing using a Bethesda game 'theme' anyways.

No, I think its just a couple of idiots who suddenly got a lot of free publicity based on the domain name and a bunch of crappy gibberish text.

Um, it's pretty obvious that's an ASCII rendering of the main character art being used for Oblivion. Here's the render. The pose is different, but the character is the same.

This is probably a fan effort. The term "ilovebees" is contextually related to the Halo 2 ARG of the same name. Using "ilovebees2" for anything else wouldn't make sense. For the record, here's the WHOIS information for the domain:

Given the keywords found, it sounds to me a lot like something you'd see in the Marathon series (sounds like some of Durandal's ramblings, actually). The image in the text even looks like a Compiler (though it is obviously generated from the Oblivion desktop picture linked above).

Also, the key in the box mentioned earlier, the box is made out of 7s. The number 7 was used constantly in the Marathon series.

Boy a new Marathon game would be awesome...(and no, Halo doesn't count, even though they are related)

I played with the audio file a little. When I slowed it down it didn't do much, but I sped it up all the way, sounds like someone shaking a can of spray paint or insect repellant.

Who knows? Probably just an anomaly, but it was fun to play with the sound file

It's made with "Microsoft FrontPage 5.0". I'm not sure if someone mentioned that before, but I think it's clear that it's a website set up by MS, because everybody else would probably use Dreamweaver or (not so probably) GoLive.

You can view the source code of gdform.asp (the "login" handler) by going to http://www.ilovebees2.com/welcome.html and viewing the source code, if any ASP programers are reading this, you will see how the login handler works. Also look at the source code of http://www.ilovebees2.com/test.html and if you wait long enough, you will see T+ and if you click it, it will go to http://www.ilovebees2.com/coundtown.html.
