Here's the info I've gleaned from lurking in the Elder Scrolls forums:

A real guy named Dan Walsh emailed the webmaster and started a conversation with him. This conversation involved Dan writing the journal entry that we see on djournal.html.

According to Dan, this took place at the end of last week, before any of this stuff appeared on the site.

Yesterday (or maybe the day before), R Morrow's journal entry showed up on the site, journal.html, and it mentioned D Walsh. Later in the day, the second journal entry, the one Dan says he wrote, showed up.

It mentioned the Elder Scrolls forum and a user, Rmorrow. That user has posted, explaining what I just said. He says he is Dan Walsh in real life. Posing as Rmorrow seems to be part of the storyline now.

He says he was just a player, that ended up as part of the game. He says he doesn't know the password to the database, and that seems to be what everyone needs to find out now.

The site hasn't been updated recently beyond a couple of lines of text. I haven't seen anything too interesting in a while. It seems the elder scrolls forum has hit a dead end, as they're waiting for the site to update.

If anyone lurks or posts in any other forums, I'd love to hear what's going on there.

This was fun for a while, but the clues seem to be drying up, and pointing nowhere in general. April 1st is too far away, and in reality, the prize has already been found out to be free copies of Oblivian, so that really doesn't motivate me.

Plus, this seems to have started around Feb. 20, so there are a lot of clues that I haven't seen, and probably won't see.

Oh yeah, and Dan Walsh read about the whole thing on Joystiq. So maybe the start date of this doesn't matter much.

BTW, I wasn't here for the first ilovebees. Is it normal for the plot to incorporate players like that? I mean, to me, it seems like the webmaster doesn't have an ending in mind, so he's scrounging for stuff to extend the life of this thing. But if this is normal, please correct me.

#86 said "I found this written towards the bottom.I don't know if it's anything. iUSERNAME&"
Since in the DWalsh Journal it said "In the Elder Scrolls forum, '*****' gets
me in... as Rmorrow." I assumed the pass is 5 characters.
So I put in "PWl17" and still got an error, but there was another pic over the 5.jpg pic:
http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/41/300oz.jpg
This was ilovebees2.com/30.jpg when I saved it, but now I see that that is "nonexistence". Also, when I put in "PWl17" the normal error page comes up now, the 30.jpg only came up the first time.

Don't know what to make of this

Sorry for the messup, #86's quote said "iUSERNAME&PWl17", that's where I put in the pass from.
And the pic I showed is called 30.jpg
If you notice, the pic has the number 3 on the left, and upside 3 and 4 on the bottom right and upside down "30 - seconds" on the left

I seriously doubt Forty-Two entertainment (the people who designed and ran ilovebees.com) would do this, and Microsoft and Bungie wouldn't be dumb enough to go with someone else. This is a fan-made project attmempting to capitalize on the name.
Why would a company who specializes is Alternate Reality games that never break character create a sequel to their last efforts (which was basically just an ad campaign)? They are creative and passionate people.
This was done by a group of people who don't really get the whole ARG thing. It's just a cute little web-game they made to capitalize on the name.
