Yeah... We have these at our tech school. I said the same exact thing a month ago.
I guess the Japanese designers didn't want to take a lot of time on the project.

The difference is that where the 360 rotates horizontally to the left, the Dell goes to the right. So the CD/DVD drives are on different sides.
The Dell has two USB 2.0 ports in the front as well.

Haha, my girlfriend pointed this out to me, she has the Dell and noticed this just after I bought my 360.

"Too bad dell has been using a similar design for many years."

That's the point here- get it?

"Looks like it's a slow news day."
On a Sunday? What gave you that idea... XP

nah, adamsb, I wasn't trying to come off as being mad or annoyed; but I'm sure you know what the capabilities are of your...average readers of spreading rumors and naysay.

Dell certainly didn't rip off Microsoft, because their design has been around for years now. We have their Optiplex GX260/270/280 line which looks like the GX220 pictured above. You'll find this look in their desktop or small form factor offerings, but Dell recently refreshed their entire line (they're uglier now), so it's unlikely you'll find this design much anymore. I believe the 170 still offers it.

While they're certain similiarities, I've never miskaken a Dell for 360. I'm not sure if it's clear in the picture, but the Dell has a rounded front end that protrudes out, whereas the 360 is concave

Hmm, a rectangular box with drive slots...omg, my dvd player looks like this too, and it's a Sony. The conspiracy goes even deeper than I thought.
