Turn an NES into a DVD player
VintageComputing.com's RedWolf decided to try his own
NES mod: cramming a crappy CyberHome CH-DVD 300 DVD player into the
gutted skin of an NES. He got the power button to work (something about latching versus momentary buttons), embedded the
IR sensor in the player one controller port, and the piece de resistance: the reset button ejects the
drive-tray, lifting up the flap and everything!RedWolf's guide is extremely... thorough, featuing dozens of pictures of mod-pr0n, and even a video of the final product opening up and ejecting its disc (SFW).

Are you trying to tell me that this guy got CyberHome hardware to work?! Either he is a hardwarae god or these are blatant lies. I, for one, demand an apology, Chris, for your poor investigative reporting.

Hey, I did my duty! I called it "crappy" AND linked to the miserably low Epinions ratings, the rest is in [fill in deity here]'s hands. =)

I'm still waiting for someone to turn an NES into a PS2(or any other console that's not Nintendo like Sega's Dreamcast). Bring it! I know there's someone out there that has.

Yeah, stuff an Xbox in an NES case, mod it, and play...uh, NES ROMS on it.
Actually, sounds like a cool idea. If I had both a PS2 and a lot of time to spare, I'd probably try that.

I want to see the first person to mod a Dreamcast and NES into the Case of an Xbox 1. :)

Ok, I suppose I'll give you this one. But please don't follow this up with someone turning the moon into a large-screen tv or some other such nonsense.
;)
I suppose I also DO have to give you props for that last paragraph and specifically for using the term "mod-pr0n" in an article. :)

Why a cyberhome DVD player? That thing is the worst piece o' shhhh ever. They break within the first few months of using it.
