Word has it that a supplier of Taiwanese origin called
COMPEQ has gotten the go-ahead from Sony to begin producing high-density circuit boards for the PlayStation 3. This
comes as big news for gamers, even though it is unofficial (surprise!). Okay, so they're not actually ready to start
just yet, but apparently someone from inside the company has stated that this will have to happen by June or
July at the latest. It looks like Sony is on track to meet one of their promises, that being to have the PS3 ready by the end of the year. Here's hoping it stays like that.
