Typo on the name of the producer. It's Stinnett.

Not to be a hater, but isn't this thing coming about 5-10 years too late?

I feel like this is something that would go like gangbusters in 1996, but now? Just because they can do a thing, should they? Just my opinion, of course. Personally, I'd prefer to see a Lego Star Wars MMORPG. Yeah, like that'd ever happen! :(

Problem is that Star Trek is fairly passive universe. It's much more civilized than say the Star Wars universe. Even their warships and phasers look passive. Does the whole thing take place in the neutral zone? People in unitards don't scare me.

I'm guessing I'd spend most of my time trolling for pr0n on the holodeck.

This would only be successfull if you had your choice of which generation to play. We all have our favorites. Personally, I wouldn't touch the game if it wasn't set in the TNG erra with Borg, Klingons, Betazoids and Ferengi.

But I do think it has some real potential for an MMORPG setting. I would enjoy the variety of choosing between the scale of deep space or a more personal away-team level of play.

It's based in the time period after TNG/DS9/Voyager but before the movie Nemesis.

And it wouldn't be hard to have an expansion that takes place in another time period(like the Original series or Enterprise) or during a Star Trek historical war
