I afford it by only buying old games, thereby keeping costs down! :P
I won't even consider buying an Xbox 360 until it's game base has expanded and the price dropped slightly. I'm tight, but it means I can buy more games (now if only I had more time to play them!)

I thought a couple needed some title modification...
Midnight club 3: Dub remix ultra mega super collectors edition with coloring book
Driver: Still trying to compete with GTA while still being as good as the first Driver but not measuring up to either.

Driver shouldn't have ever had a gun in it. Once they did that, It fell on the pile of other crap GTA clones. IMO.

It is all about next week with Tetris online and Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS. Last week was decent too with GRAW taking the honors for the 360.
This week, meh.

Lets stick to the topic at hand people.
Speaking of, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is gonna be awesome. Multiplayer alone will eat up lots of my time. And guess what folks... it's FREE! No pay subscription service needed.
I checked out the video footage and gameplay of Daxter last week and was blown away. I thought I was actually watching a PS2 game. This is one of the games that really shows off the hardware at the same time incorporating some solid 3D platform action.
What happened to Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for PSP? Last I checked the release was March 14th and going to be a great game as well. Did the date get pushed and I wasn't told?

Driver: Parallel Lines without Director mode is a major turn off to me. However the game looks incredible and much improved. If you go to IGN.com and watch the newest Trailer for Driver, you might think a little differently about it. It is one kickn trailer!!

I've been playing the demo to The Outfit on XBL multiplayer all week. It rocks! It's like a combination of BF2 + Command & Conquer. It has RTS elements (purchasing weapons, vehicles, etc.) but has the third-person shooter thing going on, and as a team game it's a riot.
That one's a must-purchase for me.

No games for me this week. I'm perfectly content with the used copy of Amplitude I picked up for 15 bucks.
And I bought Ping Pals for 4 dollars. But only to have a good laugh every time I read the manual.

This week's pick for me is Daxter for PSP. As Tesla pointed out above, it looks very much like a high-quality PS2 platform game. The character design and animation is beautiful, much like the PS2 Jak & Daxter series. The high quality of this game should come as no surprise to those who have been following its progress, since Ready At Dawn Studios was founded by former members of Naughty Dog and Blizzard.
IGN has already reviewed Daxter, and gave it an outstanding grade!

Penny Arcade was also raving about Daxter recently. Great praise for what appears to be a great game!
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for PSP is still coming this week. IGN reviewed that game too, and also gave it an outstanding grade!

I've tried the demo of this one, and it's sweet. Don't forget it supports 8 players online, with full in-game voice chat--no other handheld video game system is capable of that.

Wow only Capcom and Konami are tricky enough to make me buy the same games twce (Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance) and not have any regrets.
I am going to pick up Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence this week and have a blast with the online mode, and all that other wacky new stuff they added.
I think they might have just created one of the most fun online games yet, I play SOCOM3 online and it's a blast, but it is really difficult, and frustrating at times.
I think Metal Gear Online will be for more casual gamers to have some good old fashiond online fun. I just hope there aren't a million 14 year olds with "clans" and super human (pot powered) skills to ruin it for me.
