25 -> Why on earth would anyone need more than 64k of RAM, 10MB of HDD space and a 8mHz processor in a personal computer?!?!

"because of the failure (some would say at least) of your last console."

So being the first to make money and (most likely) the one who made the made the most money out of the 3 consoles is a failure? Umm...ok...last time I check the whole point of selling a product is to make money.

"If I had 1,500 to burn on a display, I would just buy a quad SLI machine and smoke the PS3 and the PS4."

Oh boy...don't tell me you are gonna go the "PC's are better then consoles route." Sure you can buy a huge PC rig like that but most games aren't going to take advantage of it and in all honesty the only reall genres that sell on PCs are FPS, RTS & MMOs.

Well considering Gamecube didnt suffer from priacy and also didnt have much other uses, homebrew-wise. Other than video game system and plus the parts where cheaper than the ps2 or xbox. Its obvious, they made a profit. But even nintendo themselves where disappointed with the sales of the gamecube, considering it came second to xbox which commericially failed in Japan, was late in the market and didnt have reputation in the gaming, is poor on nintendo part and plus its 3rd party was poor, thats why it was lousy console.

But then again you also look at it in the way that...despite having poor 3rd party support its sales were very close to the Xbox.

I'm not going to lie...I've never been a fan of the Xbox but that's b/c you can only have so many FPS (I'm no fan of 99% of FPS on consoles), sports titles, etc. The PS2 and the Gamecube cover all the genres I like (party games, JRPGs, platformers, quirky games, etc.)

Jago perhaps you are interpreting what you want on that one.

I said "some would say" for a reason. I don't necessarily say that. However, Nintendo's console is not in as many households as say the PS2--this is a real disadvantage.
Try reading what my whole point was instead of breaking down a sentense you didn't like. If I worded it differently you wouldn't have cared.

As far as your PC statement goes, I was simply making the point that only the rich (or those willing to go into debt for years) can take FULL advantage of what the PS3 is offering.
Since the PS3's big selling point is its graphics capabilities, why not put that cash towards a rig that would put it to shame? I'm a console gamer simply because PC's are too expensive to upgrade all the time. If I had enough dough, I'd have everything.
Again, I think your interpreting my statement the way you want and creating arguments were there shouldn't be...not suprised you have -5 stars.

What I said:

Well it seems like you're ignoring what I'm saying.

The way I interpreted your statement has NOTHING to do with me having -5 stars...it has to do some other "unfair" confrontations.

If I misunderstood your statement on PC gaming then I apologize...it just REALLY irritates me when people really think that PC gaming is superior or when they try to compare the 2 styles of gaming.

I can't see Sony selling it for less for 499$ without taking a MAJOR money loss if they are gonna have a 60GB HDD standard. At 499$ I am not sure if it will appeal to large casual gamer numbers.I work in a gaming store, and I heard many many people complain over the holidays about the price of xbox 360 being 399$ for the whole package with everything.I must have a thousand times from customers that they are gonna wait till the price drops down to 299$ etc.....
