Sweet Jesus, if that's not released for the Xbox 360 at some point and time (which it probably will be, given the popularity of BF2:MC), then I might have to upgrade my PC to fit it's specifications.

And to me the only thing that seemed like it could be fake is the voice, it was so monotone, but then again, it's a trailer for a far-off game, they don't need to have a great voice actor for it.

I'm pretty sure this is the real trailer, cool concept and I'm sure that official word will be very soon. Hopefully a xbox360 version will be announced.

I just wet myself...

I predict this to be the best selling of all the Battlefield series. Why? Because I'm willing to bet there are more gamers sick of old-school war games (WWII and Vietnam and whatever other wars you can think of) and are thirsting for something futuristic.

Just a prediction though. :)

wtf @ EA. Those money-grubbering bastards haven't even fixed BF2 yet. The game is still plagued by bugs that have been around since launch. Even then I won't get antsy until I see in-game footage as I'm tired of seeing all these FMVs promoting a game (who the hell actually wants to see prerendered footage over in-game footage)?

That looks pretty good... although the soldiers don't loo k very futurisitic.... are we wearing exactly the same type of clothes as we did 150 years ago or even 10 years ago? no.....

the proposed story looks kinda cool...

i can so see kids 30 years form now looking back at this saying "they thought the future would look like THAT?!"

First off, it seems like ever since Battlefield: Vietnam they have been flying through these games. Not that it's necesarily bad or anything, just seems odd.

Also, in the future the global warming reverses itself and the world begins to freeze over? Odd.

EA must be doing a good job with the graphics, because that's in-game... or at least it looks in-game. The graphics in the video are similar to what Battlefield 2 looks like, so they're most likely what you'll see when you play the game on a high-end PC.

#5 - you're absolutely right. I have always liked futuristic games and never really got into the Battlefield series.

If this isn't real, I commend the spoofer on a job very well done. If this IS real but is for a different game, I want to play that game!

Looks pretty good, but I hope it's far off. I'm still having a blast playing BF2. I don't know about the Mech stuff though, I personally don't really like that.

I'd be very surprised if that's a fake. It looks damn impressive to me.

But it hasn't been long since the last Battlefield game was released. There was nearly three years between the first two games, but it hasn't even been a year since the last one.

Hey guys,

It was me who uploaded the video to YouTube and also who posted it on Digg...

A lot of people have been asking me if it's real/fake, etc etc and it is 100% real!

I got the video on the cover disc for the May 2006 PC Gamer (subscribers get it early), and so very soon you will have a lot of confirmations from people telling you that it is real (I also scanned in the article for those who want further proof)

Either way, this isn't a fake... It's based off the same engine as BF2 which is why they look so similar.

They said naturally expect a lot more info at E3 :)

This is fake, and you don't even have to look at the video, just need to listen to the horrible voice actor. I can tell from listening to the voice that it's an untrained, feral 17 year old caucasian hrethgir.

This looks like the same freakin in-game engine as BF2- EA needs to wake up and smell the cofee- its a BROKEN POS and needs to be rewritten from the ground up. If they release another game with a multiplayer lobby and loading times as bad as BF2 they deserve their reputation as money grabbing scumbag corporation. Such a shame beacuse Dice make good games if you can tolerate all the sloppy and rushed coding...

I don't know, for some reason the voice acting reminds me completely of the boy in the movie that they're watching in kill bill vol 2 ("My daddy was a shogun warrior" or something).

I keep waiting for the video to crash to my desktop. Looks interesting, but I'll wait for them to get BF2 fixed before thinking about getting this one. Microsoft isn't the only company who rushes uncompleted software to the market, EA should all pay us to be beta testers.
