Just two problems

One, the game's install base would have to be enormous.

Two, it would have to have a common, unifying theme such as environmentalism or gun ownership. Otherwise the likeliness of a significant number of game owners being at a specific event would be small.

Unfortunately, these two problems compound each other. You can't increase your install base by limiting your theme. Nor can you encourage participation in any one event without increasing your install base.

(Google for it if you're clueless.)

I don't know, I'm thinking this game:

Desperate Housewives, a lifestyle simulation PC game based on the top-rated, Golden Globe-winning ABC-TV series"

Just announced by Buena Vista games. Maybe next year.

That sounds like a cult.

Food Force is just the kind unifying theme I'm talking about. It limits the game's scope to stopping starvation. The problem is, how member contributors to that organization own and play the DS?
