Anyone complaining about a delay in Britain is spoilt and pathetic. Forgetting distribution and translation issues, who ever said we have a god-given right to get our games at the same time as Japan and America? More to the point, who cares? It doesn't affect us in any meaningful way at all - you'll still play the game for the same amount of time and it'll still be just as good as if you got it a month earlier! If the games were more expensive, different or weren't released here, then you'd have something to complain about. Until then you're making noises about your rush to be first in the queue, which is sad, sad, sad.

Let me tell some of you a story of two systems:

I love my video games. Because of some of the exclusive titles, I tend to buy every system out there, although I'd never be willing to wait in some long line to get a system at launch. I've had two completely different experiences trying to buy a new system over the past two years.

The first attempt was to buy a DS. The backwards GBA compatibility made it an automatic purchase. I can play my old games and still take advantage of anything new and innovative. I knew I was going to wait for my system though since it was launched around the holidays and those are times for me to spend money on OTHER people. I waited a little after Christmas and I just walked into BestBuy around mid-January, picked up my DS, and was playing it when I got home.

I didn't need to buy another new game machine until just last week, with the release of Elder Scrolls IV. It WOULD have been a system-seller for me. I went to a couple Best Buy's, CompUsa, Circuit City and a couple GameStops. Absolutely no systems and most places couldn't even tell me when they would get more, they just EXPECT some around April. I'm not waiting weeks or possibly months to play Oblivion...and as a consumer...I still enjoy the in-store experience of buying something and taking it with you immediately so on-line was definitely out of the question. After hearing so many stores tell me that I was basically screwed, I went to CompUsa, bought a Compaq P4 desktop unit and am enjoying my time in the Imperial Province trying to close the gates of Hell.

My point is this: With the PS3 and Revolution coming out this year, I don't think I'll be buying a 360 any time soon, probably at least a couple years. I already got what I wanted, I'm playing a game I've been waiting for for years. I know that there is a difference in producing a console versus a handheld, but how long has the 360 been out? As a consumer, I expect that 5 months after a launch, I can walk into my Best Buy and purchase a product. Microsoft has lost a sale for quite a while because of a completely idotic launch! Maybe it was because they tried to do a worldwide launch, or maybe it was because of something else. But if Nintendo's longer multi-region launch will mean that I have a better chance of getting a system a few months after launch date, that can only be a good thing from my point of view.

#35: "You're a consumer, buy something else. Buy clothes, but a PC game, buy your mom a f**king card and say you care."

I'm totally quoting this from now on... As for the subject at hand: Who cares? You'll get the damn thing when you get it... whether they go for a world-wide release or stagger it, you'll get it on whatever day Nintendo wants you to get it. Simple as that. If they do a world-wide, they have potential shortages & manufactured problems by releasing it earlier. If they stagger, odds are they can work out some of the problems before launch and produce more consoles as well... that's how I see it at least... let Nintendo do what they think is right.
