It's not
hard for the gamers in Europe to feel left out sometimes when it comes to Sony. When they normally get a first shot at
the Japanese market, fans elsewhere usually have to wait for their turn. However, David Reeves of SCEE assures gamers
that the "US, Japan and Europe will be equally served ... It's my job to make sure Europe gets equal
billing."With all major territories getting consoles, we can almost bet on a shortage. But how bad will it be? That's the important question. Sony had more to say on the issue: "Of course the launch is important but we are looking at a long term business plan. It is impractical to believe you can fulfill every single order. But we are going to do the best job we can to deliver what we hope will be a world beating console." No surprise there. Launching on such a large scale as this is clearly going to take its toll. Hopefully the shortages won't be crippling. But either way, gamers may find themselves camping out before it's all over with.
