unless it comes with the pre-reg'd copy of zelda that Ive already been waiting 6 months for (and will be waiting another 6 months) I dont care... Nintendo had better give me something for making us wait so long just so they can have a sudo-launch title for the rev.

Most likely because they are meant to be a limited edition collector's item, not a common toy for youngsters to get a kick out of. I actually like the idea of them being so high priced, because if you get them and hold onto them for 20 years it will probably prove to be a good investment.
