Zelda collectible statues on the way

Toymaker First 4 Figures has signed a three-year licensing agreement with Nintendo to produce statues based on the legendary Zelda series. Standing 9 to 12 inches tall, the statues will depict characters from Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and the forthcoming Twilight Princess.

Nintendo will be previewing the first series of synthetic polymer Link and friends at E3. The figures are expected to retail for $80 to $120 each, and will go on sale in Q3.

ROFL. That pic does have a fat face. Looks like too much Ben & Jerry's for the savior of Hyrule.

unless it comes with the pre-reg'd copy of zelda that Ive already been waiting 6 months for (and will be waiting another 6 months) I dont care... Nintendo had better give me something for making us wait so long just so they can have a sudo-launch title for the rev.

Most likely because they are meant to be a limited edition collector's item, not a common toy for youngsters to get a kick out of. I actually like the idea of them being so high priced, because if you get them and hold onto them for 20 years it will probably prove to be a good investment.
