Microsoft should add some form of a ranking about a player's performance on XBL. I know there is a gamerscore but that can be easily manipulated by just buying or renting a large amount of games. I want to know how good someone is at the games available on the 360. For example, anyone with a brain can have a perfect gamerscore in NBA2k6 but do they go online and get pwn3d or do they do the pwning? Some reperesentation of the highly touted rankimg system would be extremely hard to manipulate and would give you an idea of how good your potential friend is at all or a specific game.

It's funny that the XBLA games all have leaderboards that give you a better representation of the skills of someone. I had one game I just HAD to get because one of my friends was ranked and I knew I could beat his top score. Did it the first time I played, too. :-)

um. i dont know about the other games (you may well have a point there), but NBA 2K6 makes it pretty obvious what someone's online record is in each lobby.

i guess that could be on the gamercard too, but it'd have to poll that extra information from a random 2K sports server, and a gamercard with a few online games records could get pretty unwieldy.

I would like to be able to send and view messages to others on xbox live from a computer. It would be even better if you could do this all from MSN messenger, instead of just view your friends list and see who is on.

Let's be honest, if it was rocket science for them to add that facility I would've given them a pat on the back.
But come on let's be honest with the technical and programming knowledge in Microsoft that could have been done ages ago, it's a simple task...

Ability to View/Listen to messages from XBL from MSN Messenger or xbox.com

Ability to have a voice chat from MSN Messenger to the Private Chat portion of XBL. Same with webcam when that comes around.

Ability to view previous games, and trueskill ranking online, doesn't have to be on gamercard but would be appreciated.

Let me do other things while downloading and add estimated time to finish a download. Let me read messages from friends online from my computer.

Let me love you forever, sweet 360.

I don't think I artciulated my point well enough the first time. I think that the "TrueRank," system or whatever it was called, should be able to give you a better idea of someones abilities and that should be on the gamercard. In NBA2k6 I have played all the people that are routinely in the top ten and have absolutely cleaned there clocks, usually it's a 40 or so point win or they quit, and they are the top ranked people. That's because they play tons of games and get to the top but that doesn't mean they're any good and I'm not going to spend every waking moment trying to just beat people to get on top of a leaderboard that I think means nothing. I think that me being 60-2 in a month, and beating tons of people in the top 50, should be far more valuable than being 2000-1200 in a month. There should be some representation of how actually good you are that can't be manipulated.

The only feature that I would like to see is that on actual Xbox360 Media where you can listen to your own CD and Rip it to a HD is that you can Rewind and Fast Forward the tracks. It is a pain to listen to the entire track and then rip it into the HD. At least having an option to FF a track a few second forward and have an idea what that track sound. The old method is to play your cd in a stereo player pick out the favorite tracks by marking it then inserting a cd in Xbox360 and rip the once that you marked. Its just a pain to do the switching.
