Full-length Zelda fan film one-ups Uwe Boll
63
Watch The Legend of Zelda: Hero of Time and dazzle at the thrilling spectacle of "a boy from a mysterious forest" in "a legend as infinite as time." There's an evil threatening him and a princess summoning him, so there's only one thing to do: put the tights on, grab the Master Sword, and mess up some Moblins.
Alright, it's a fan film but I'd honestly pay more to see this than oh, I don't know... anything by Uwe Boll. They're saying that principal photography is in the can, with post-production work on animations and CGI left to complete. The Zelda fanboys in the house can read more about the production here.

Are you guys sure about the names you're giving. I've searched under all of them, and while Oakenfold rings a bell, Zoo York is a different song (atleast when I stream it). Also, Lux Aeterna brings in about 50 different results, so...
Thx for your help atleast :P

I *am* sure of it. Lux Aeterna is technically right. That's the name of the song as composed by Clint Mansell and performed by Kronos Quartet on the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. A search for Kronos Quartet Lux Aeterna should get you some results.
The specific version in this trailer, however, is performed by the orchestra that did the LOTR film, and conducted by that film's composer, Howard Shore for LOTR: TTT's trailer. A search for "Requiem of the Rings" should get you some results.

I just want to apologize for the trailer downtime. It was downloaded so much that it overloaded the server. I will probably start up a torrent for the trailer, and I've posted a temporary solution on the site for now.
A lot of commonly asked questions about this movie will be answered on the movie page very soon, so please keep checking for updates.
Thank you,

Wow! I'm an over-achieving video production student (yes I admit it) looking to be in film someday, and I've seen many video game fan films. But NOTHING I've seen before compares to the hard work and effort I see here. All the props, sets, outfits, actors, and the Death Mountain scenes look really well done. Anyone with experience at digital video editing can understand that the effects are pretty tricky. I can't wait to see this! I suppose, it may very well end up bombing as far as storyline, but there's no way for the writers to cater to EVERY fan's desires. No one better deny these guys their respect for their technical accomplishments!

I guess my first post didn't go through, and it's just as well: I've wanted to change a few things now that I've had time to think the movie over.
First of all, for all of you making fun of this movie, if you have something against it, I dare you to do better! I'm not joking. E.g. #38; gunblade: Do you seriously hate the movie for the Fake chain mail? For a fan film this is a Freakin' awesome movie! I completely agree with #48: duerra.
That being said, I feel that I have to point out a few things others have missed. Keep in mind that I find these things superficial and feel that any "Real" Zelda fan will gladly overlook them if the movie overall is good.
1. Hyrule castle looks more like a manor than an actual castle.
2. The triforce crest on the back of the hands looks like it is drawn on with permanent marker, not even yellow.
3. The ears of everybody are completely normal, no pointiness to them at all, which I might add defines a hylian.
4. The master sword, is not the master sword.
I'm sure there are even more, but really, WHO CARES that sariah's hair is red? Isn't it the deeper stuff in the game, like the plot, what really counts? On that note, I do have a few thorns in my side.
1. I don't know what's up with what appeares to be Zelda in a jail cell, isn't that from A Link to the past?
2. There seem to be quite a few "new" scenes that are not in the game. This is what bothers me. The movie should follow the game as close as possible, with no assumptions or additions.
In conclusion, I have the same question as Truf #49: Although given everything else, I assume that yes, Link does talk. If so, how unfortunate.

Mortifying. I hope Nintendo shuts this down as soon as possible. This is why you have to buy the rights to things from the company that made them: to avoid embarassments like this. Bleached-Blonde 30 year old Link, 'Requiem For A Dream' ripoff soundtrack, A Library posing as Hyrule Castle. How could anyone contribute to this disaster this and still consider themselves a fan?

First of all, Link is left handed, and second, wtf kind of sheild is that, third, Link is not an adult when he leaves Kokori Forest, fourth, Link never kissed anyone in the games. Link looks nothing like the games, and looks gay in the movie.
This movie will not not be worth watching.

Top Ten Reasons This Movie Looks Retarded
1. Since when were the Koriki adults
2. Link is a boy in the beginning right?...
3. Blood looks like ketchup
4. Link has REAL hair
5. Saria has GREEN hair
6. Zelda should have BLOND hair
7. Epona NEEDS to be animated because of her characteristics
8. Link acts like a Retard, I am just waiting for the drool to run out of his dorky face
9. Backgrounds are fakey looking(volcano scene)
10. Was the Link they used ripped out of the 80's?
The Only Reason Why This Movie Will Do Well
1. We will laugh for generations to come when we think of a big buff fake blond haired freaky man who looks constantly like he is out of this world(literally) and his beautiful brown haired princess who decided that for this movie she couldn't have pretty blond hair but a rag of dreads upon her ROYAL face.
Shouldn't this movie be called "I'm too sexy for my tunic." I mean, come on, look at him. He's gotta be a lifeguard from Baywatch!

While I watch this trailer I can't help but picturing Link saying, "Where's my fairy? Oh, here I am!" *Twinkle in his eye* Look at me, I'm too pretty for my tunic and I have bootiful blond hair! I'm soooo pretty, ohhh soooo pretty! And witty and GAY! Oh no! I think I left my purse in my tree.
Will the Hero of Time ever find his purse? Will we ever know? Watch The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time and be amazed as Link not only saves Hyrule but for the sake of his purse.

i dont know what to make of this at all.
but like #13 said....Link doesnt actually make out with girls in any of the games...apart from them cd-i games...which, the less said about them the better i think!
I perosnally think i could have made a better attempt at this film.
Link doesnt look how I imagined him to at all.
Obviously im still going to see it, you can't be LOZ fan and not see it, even if it is, more than likely, going to dissapoint.
At least we have Twilight Princess to look forward to if nothing else!
