Mario's mustache: handlebars for a love machine

Wear this t-shirt, collect lots of coin, guaranteed. Just don't blame Joystiq if you get kicked out of school.
Here's what an original version of the
infamous t-shirt--a 70s icon--looked
like.

Slow day for news, or cheap plug?
You decide.

You forgot option #3: it's entertaining.
Thanks for the laugh. I needed one of those tonight, even if I don't see myself wearing one of those ^^

It's true. Mario's giving us 1 coin for every ride he gives. Ugly kickback scheme exposed by mofomojo!

Man, if I had a dollar for every time someone accused joystiq of posting entertaining content just because it's a "slow news day" I'd have...well, enough for a moustache ride.
Mike @ Mar 28th 2006 8:19AM
Agreed. This is damn funny.

Yeah.... I think we'll be seeing that removed here in the next few days as soon as a Nintendo exec sees this post. And in case you weren't aware, there are execs that read Joystiq...
Jim N @ Mar 28th 2006 10:22AM
The Engadget people know that execs read this blog, Bill Gates came out and said that Engadget is one of the sites he visits every day. This is a blog article, nobody is going to get that excited about it. Besides if Nintendo execs got that excited they would have banned a bunch of the tee shirts at Jinx.com.

Harumpf Harumpf! No room for having fun here! All business please!

Not an legal expert here, but I would think that this kind of parody would be considered fair use.
32_Footsteps @ Mar 28th 2006 12:42PM
You know, it occurs to me that in the recent Mario games, Bowser's lieutenants are the ones giving Mario many of the coins he collects throughout the game. So Bowser's troops start with the coins, and they end up in Mario's hands. I'll let everyone else come to the logical conclusion there.

You guys are talking about the "maturity" and if it's legal over something like this? How about the damn hilarity of it. Are the people who read this site a bunch of souless, hair gel wearing 35 year old business men or something? Even that letter from that kid in another country to Sony about buying a PS3 for $300 all I read was people describing the politics and jobs in other countries. How about how funny the letter was and how much of a diehard Sony fanboy he was? That's the point of the post, because how GD funny it was.
I'm sorry that everything Joystiq posts isnt Dennis Miller jokes but you'll have to do with this.
