B-Boy poppin-n-locking on your PSP
Sony Europe has announced B-Boy, the urban
breakdancing sim on the go. Is this freedom, you ask? Indeed. No longer must your feeble attempts to pull off air
flares, jackhammers, and elbow spins be confined to the privacy of your home. Now, you can execute over 800 motion
captured moves anywhere — and all in the palm of your hand. Powerful stuff.B-Boy, due in September, features dynamically controlled face offs, as you vie for respect in the streets and on stage. To help keep it real, Sony has enlisted legendary b-boy Crazy Legs, who will be working closely with developer FreeStyleGames and will also be featured in the game alongside a slew of other real world b-boy all-stars.

That's it folks this seals the deal...finally PSP is getting a killer app to dethrone the DS.
Can't wait!
By the way if you didn't notice I was being sacrcastic - Homer Simpson

If a Dog simulator can become a system seller, so can a breakdancing game (I kid)
Seriously though, there may be a market for this type of thing and it could turn out to be decent.

Yes what a hilarious comment on how Sony wants to get street cred by publishing a wannabe breakdancing game. Yes they are so faeke with their street tagging ads, rootkits and no good gaymes omg omg omg......
ANYWAY lets rip on this before we play it because we all know games have to be all about pointy eared tights wearing elves who talk like Lord British.
Who knows it maybe fun. And theres allways a chance that the star wars kid is a playable character.

Breakdancing with your thumbs?

This really could be the game the PSP needs. Okay, so due to the PSP's set up it's nothing that the DS couldn't do but what matters is that its a game that Nintendo probably wouldn't do.
Nintendo is relying on cute and cheery stuff (which I like) to pull in non-trads. It makes sense for Sony to try something grittier but still fun and appealing to the general populous. After all, who doesn't like breakdancing? (That's a rhetorical question, by the way.)

Wow, what a great idea! You know, kids sure love those urban themed games, just look how well Getting Up did! Oh...wait...

I will probably be in the minority, but i think this will be really neat. Does anybody else remember the few breakdancing games on the C64? I dug them when i was a kid, and with modern tech, this could be nostalgia wrapped in yummy, melt-in-your-mouth rice paper.
Cheers!

Oh man, I pretty much had a dream about a dance battling game in the vein of You Got Served. Tony Hawk style control in a rythym game, combo between solo breakdancers and group choreography, big points for dissing the opposition but your cheer meter goes down if you end up shoving them etc. Pity it's not coming for the DS I cherish. I'd buy a PS2 for this game if it came out on that.

Hey man that's a super funky ultra fresh diggity dope idea. Hey guy's I can't wait to bust a move like one of the homies. Man when I'm playing this slamming game, pop locking my way to the top, I'm going to be the best on the block. FINALLY a super cool homey like me will be Geed up and get that diggity dope street credit I deserve.

Sorry to nag, but your title for this post should have simply been B-Boyin on your PSP! B-Boys break (aka breakdance) and it's origins are in the East Coast (NYC). Popping and Locking are two completely different dance styles (also known as Funk Styles) developed on the West Coast. Now you know...and knowing is half the battle.

Will all the otaku please go back to beating off..
This game has a massive market.. If half of you ever left your rooms you'd know about it..

try throwing in some violence during the challenge.... something like tekken... only every breaker has succinctly specific moves.... make it a global or interplanetary challenges whatever.... But roll in the aerials with a slap in the face and then you got my approval.
