As for price, I'm kind of disappointed. . .after keeping prices so low on DS games at $35 you would think that a major major major selling point on the revolution would be cheap games. $50 works, but it's nothing low enough to create excitement, which is obviously Nintendo's goal throughout this whole revolution ordeal. As for storage. . .WONDERFUL idea. Portable hard drives that will work for all that PC garbage we download AND for all that video game garbage that we'll be downloading, could it get any better? No, no, it reall couldn't, and that's why I love nintendo!

Snively, $35 isn't all that impressive for DS games considering it is a portable and game boy advance games have never been more than that either.

Also, if Nintendo goes $50 on their titles, I can't imagine publishers trying to go any more expensive since Nintendo typically puts out the best titles for their system and it would be stupid for third party publishers to make their games sell worse by overpricing. I believe that that competition will put far greater pressure on third parties than has been seen thus far with the xbox 360.

I would love to see 40 dollar games, even 45 dollars would be nice... if only because it is in the right direction. Will I expect it? No. Will I be damned excited if it happens? Hell yes.

Hopefully at the very least, Nintendo becomes more active in their greatest hits category the way Sony is. I would own so many more games on the Gamecube if they came down in price more rapidly.

If the price was $50 Australian... now I would love that, because games come out here for $100 (or more) for consoles, and DS games start at $70.

But when you think of it, just because Nintendo want to release their games for $50, it doesn't mean the stores have to sell it for $50, they could still (stupidly) mark the prices up to "make more profit"... although having lower prices means more people buy more games = greater income, but you know, people (like me) are stupid.

Hmm, if they have USB support, do you guys think you could plug your iPod into your rev? That would be cool too. I wonder what this will do for piracy? Seems like it would make things a lot easier on pirates.

How will they be able to stop me from downloading a bazillion games off bittorrent and putting them on my thumb drive instead of downloading them off nintendo wifi? nintendo has always been bulletproof in terms of piracy(the disc spins BACKWARDS on a gamecube) and I was wondering how they can stop wide-spread piracy with the SD cards and thumb drives(not that i want them to stop it).

Although, this is a fantastic idea and will only encourage my users to buy the revolution on top of a "real" console. Instead of worrying about having to pay another $150 on accesories, i use stuff i already own. who doesnt have a couple sd cards and usb drive laying around?

Good step. But there is no word about the price of the console. Will this feature influence on it?

A "Real Console"?
You are just dumb. I would consider the Rev more of a "Real Console" then the same old, same old that the other two are putting out. we played them already, back in 94. It's about time they released a "NEW" console.

As for the price of games ,I have a boxed Pac-Man for the Atari 2600 and it's price sticker is $59.99.$40 or $50.00 for a new game today is more than reasonable.I'm sure there will be budget games on the Revolution though .

Prices: Nintendo should definitely not go above $50.00 for a new release (unless maybe the game comes with a new accesory, which is not gonna happen until maybe a year or more after launch)

Storage: Awesome, I'll get to choose now, instead of specifically having to buy memory cards for the system. Great move.

Advertisements: This one is tricky. You have to use the advertising very subtlely. It's kind of stupid when games have to make up brands to put up on the billboard you drive by, though. Or if you have stores, you could make them actual stores, and not just the typical generic "Hardware Store" you'd normally pass by. But if it got too out of hand, they'd have to call it off altogether. That's what I say. That might be hard to do once advertisers get used to in-game ads. So the advertising is a very risky manuver(sp?).
