If launch sales
figures are any indication, you could say Xbox 360 is "Australian for gaming." Microsoft's next gen system now
holds the title for Australia's most successful console launch ever, with 30,000 units sold since its March 23 debut.
And the numbers may be even higher according to an Xbox regional manager, who claims there were 45,000 units on
pre-order.The bulk of these launch sales have been for the 360 premium package, and there is an estimated game tie ratio of 2.6 games sold per system. Sony's PSP had the country's previous best game system launch with around 27,000 units sold in a similar time frame.
