A glimpse into our future...

Thanks to a side effect in the PlayStation 5's Infinite Improbability Processor in 2014, we were able to for a brief moment look ahead and see the site as it would be in 4 years. Fortunately we were quick to grab all the information and we now present it to you for a glimpse into the future of gaming (and, therefore, of life itself):
Kutaragi: PS4 requires knowledge of Postmodern Physics
Although official specs have yet to be released, we do know from previous Kutaragi interviews that Sony's processor, dubbed Lazarus, computes in a finite-dimensional vector space (FDVS)--not to be confused with infinite-dimensional vector space which is still being researched at MIT. Microsoft's CPU, which was developed in-house by the recently-acquisitioned AMD, clocks their processor speed using complex numbers, which unfortunately cannot be accurately compared with any other data. Its GPU, however, relies on the Theory of Relativity, designed so that it is always 150% faster than the nearest console.
Apple-owned Nintendo's upcoming console, codenamed MD (or "Miyamoto Device") has been often rumored to utilize quantum computation--a move that has been criticized as being years-old technology.

Joystiq staffer quits over Scientology remark
While not specifically mentioned in his resignation, Ransom-Wiley-Ortegas is a noted Scientologist, and last week's caricature of Lord Xenu playing a Nintendo DS drew some ire and controversy. Lord Xenu's return last year, after over 75 million years in hiding, has rocked theological researchers, who have time-after-time sought an interview with the often reclusive galactic leader of the Galactic Confederacy. What is known, however, is that Xenu is an avid PSP fanatic.
We will miss James Ransom-Wiley-Ortegas greatly--although we don't agree with the choices Ransom-Wiley-Ortegas made in the last few days, we should focus on how much he made us smile.
Video games cure depression?
Thompson succeeded Doug Lowenstein in February after what he called an "epiphany." Following the re-arrival of Lord Xenu in 2009, thus negating the existence of a Christian god, Jack Thompson--former anti-game activist and trial lawyer--was one of the 79% of the world to convert to Scientology. One of Scientology's biggest enemies (besides South Park, now in its 15th season) is Psychiatry.

Halo 3: Forerunner--real information, at last
We won't ruin the plot of the game for you, but Bungie's press office did have this to say:
It bethinketh us that oure decysioun, that Haloe iij sholde in olde Engelonde of that Myddle Age be sette, wil prikke forth the pleying of gamys in dyvers newe direcciouns. We relyen upon it, the besynesse of oure marchaundise for to save, to suche gret degree that Sir William of Gattys hath ybeten alle his horslees cariages upon the successe of oure noble entreprise.
It's released April 1, 2011; we can't wait.

US

US last week:

- The Sims 3: Booty Call (PC)
- Brain Training: Clairvoyant Academy (QS)
- Burnout: Traffic Jam (720, PS3)
- Castlevania: Ditty of Unhappiness (QS)
- Pimps At Sea (Rev)
- Commander Keen Episode VII: Babysitters Ate My Alien! (720, PS3)
- Suikoden VII (PS3)
- Christ Crusader (Rev)
- Grand Theft Auto: Scotland (PS3)
Metareview - Duke Nukem Forever (Xbox 7202)
Luckily, that's what we got. The game finally settled on Epic's
- IGN (91/100): IGN weighed in with their 9000 word review of 3D Realms long time coming Duke Nukem Forever declaring it to be "Almost a 90, but just a little better so it was a 91.7, but we had some difficulty with our bio-ports, so it was a 90.8 but then we remembered the sound implants were really exceptional..."
- Gamespot (68/100): The guys at Gamespot
have no love for DNF, writing, "Sure, it's indistinguishable from reality,
but so is every other game. We expected more from a title my parents first told me about." They conclude, "On
the bright side, 3D Realms has defaulted on their loans--being enslaved by Zörgön shipping pirates, forced to
toil away their debt in the spacemines--so we expect development of the sequel to be significantly shorter than this
one."
- Nintendo Power (100/100): The one time Nintendo fanzine continues to cover console gaming in all its forms, writing, "Never before has the cerebral linkup system been so seamless and unnoticeable; I shot that alien, danced with that stripper, and played with myself (courtesy of the old-fashioned Duke Nukem '3D' arcade cabinet) all the while declaring, 'That's gotta hurt.' DNF is a masterpiece."
Gizmondo Xtreme continues to dominate portable gaming

Due to slow consumer adoption of biomechanical enhancements, both Nintendo's quad-screened handheld--which continues to prove difficult for those of us with only two hands-- and Sony's PS Implant portable gaming system--which requires a sentient leech to be sewn into your brain--have failed to meet analyst's expectations. With the introduction of mall kiosk enhancement booths later this year, the industry hopes to recuperate and finally deliver on the promise of bringing post-human gaming to the masses.

Roflmfao! I love that chart at the end that continues to show Gameboy Advance. Good show. And the whole pun about the Scientology comment having to do with Chef / South Park, great work.
I'll have to pre-order my copy of Burnout: Traffic Jam for my Xbox720 and my PS3 tomorrow.
Scary thing is. I can imagine the Gizmondo dominating in the next-gen of portable gaming.
Jono @ Apr 1st 2006 12:26AM
I had to laugh at the Gizmondo being #1, and even moreso at the fact the GBA was still around. How many redesigns by now? Is it as small as a penny?

4 years from now you could post this page as news and it would probably be accurate.
Except of course for DNF being released in 2010, everyone knows the game will be released Dec 21, 2012... coincidently the same day the ancient Mayans said the world will end... come to think of it you don't suppose the 2 events are related?

No mention of World War 3, in which the world's fanboys collided in an all out full-scale war?
Nintendo's quick sweep of Asia gave them a huge leg-up in territory, population, and brainpower, while Halo addicts managed to outpower the US's mass of Playstation fanboys and sweep over any Ninty resistance. With M$ so focused on the US however, Sony managed to sweep out Europe and South America. Thus, the stage was set.
It was a horrific sight to behold. Players were decapetated by lightsaber and Master Sword Rev controllers. Sony's boomerang controller dished out concussions like you wouldn't believe, and proved a valuable long-range weapon. But the Microsoft air force dropping bombs of original Xbox's was almost unstoppable. Getting hit by that thing at ANY speed would kill a man, let alone hundreds of miles per hour...
The bloodiest of all world wars, it seemed no end was in sight. Even Bill Gate's acquisition of Earth didn't deter the fanboy's from fighting...
However it would be a 4th party that would decide the war. Introducing a virus into Internet Explorer 9, Apple's ingenious plot would effectively demolish Microsoft, as the virus quickly jumped wirelessly to any 360 machine in the area, and then spread over Xbox Live to any player you played against. Nintendo at the same time secretly dispersed it's own virus onto the internet, cleverly disguised as Nintendo emulator's and ROMs for the PSP and PS3. A perfectly running port of Smash Brothers for the PSP couldn't be passed up by anyone, and soon the Sony army was infected as well. Both viruses existed and spread for months without anyone's knowledge otherwise.
It was E3 2009, a virtual warzone, where Nintendo's keynote became the most infamous in history, as Iwata proclaimed that Apple and Nintendo were now one. Shock and fear rang from the Sony and Microsoft camps, but both stood strong with their own secret weapons prepared to launch. Those projects however were never revealed, as the Reginator came out on stage and hit, "the button". The final words anyone heard were "I took your names, and now I'm gonna kick your ass!", as a blinding, Apple-white light poured over the conference and the world. PC's, Xbox's, Playstation. All Sony and M$ branded products all over the world died, if not spontaneously combusted. The virus that lay dormant for so long had been activated, and Nintendo took the war.
Of course, it wasn't a final victory by any means. Gates relinquished his ownership of the world to pay off the damages and buy everyones PC's back. Giving up on Japan, they released a special US-only version of the Xbox 360 with a high-def version of "Halo 2: the FreeRunner Precursor Expansion", putting them back in the game.
Sony pulled some strings and managed to pull an amazing feat: 100 games released in one year. While only a handful were actually good, it was enough to sell out of their batch of new PS3's and PSP 27.0's. The massive game onslaught was lead by games like Jak 4: Daxter's Revenge, Grand Theft Auto: Thompson's Hot Coffee, and Final Fantasy X-3, not to be confused with the delayed FFXIII. The return again of Yuna's gang was a delight to female fans, while male fans really enjoyed the included mini-game, Final Fantasy: eXtreme Beach BlitzBall. Famitsu reportedly gave it a 41.
NintendApple's victory was short-lived, but not hollow. The merger brought forth great new innovation's for the company. Mac's finally had game's to play, as the Virtual Console moved over to OS X: Puma. Nintendo's Quad-Screen would use one of it's screen for iPod functionality, so you could play Zelda, look at the game map, watch a music video, and read all your RSS feeds at the same time! Plus, future Nintendo systems now could name things easier by just putting an "i" in front of it. Rumor has it the world will be taken by changed forever with the stylish Virtual iBoy...

4 years? Hahahahah...hahhaha..hahhahahh
Seriously, people. At this rate, PS4 will not be released around somewhere at about 2012-14
Do you really think that less than 4 years will hold a new generation of completely new consoles? I mean, besides our current next gen consoles. Think again.
