Joystiq t-shirt contest finalists

Number 10 is hot stuff, man.

My money is on 5, 6, 10, or 11 (Chuck Norris is overplayed, but cute).

If I have to choose one, I'd go with #5 -- it just feels the classiest.

#9 is impressive, though, just to say it

I really like #12 to the point, simple and clean.

#13 and #14 own all. I would buy both.

They're all great, but the Chuck Norris one is the best.

They all kick ass, but 1, 13, and 14. Isn't it possible to get several designs made, like the pixelante t-shirts?

#8 is by far the best one.

#9 is insanely good. Likin' #5 and 14, too.

Surprisingly good stuff. I thought the contest requirements would mess some people, apparently I was wrong.

My vote would have to go to #15 ... Because, you know, I appreciate creativity.

But seriously: #8, #11, #12, and #13 ... How could you chose?

If it were to be printed on another color, other than yellow, #10, for sure. If not, #14.

Dan: if we went Cafepress, we could. But if you want good, thick T-shirts you gotta commit to a larger run. We'll assess all the options, but we're assuming we'll have to pick just one design.

I'd have to say that #4 is one of the funniest things I've read all day...prolly because I made it though. On a more serious side 14 is stylish as all get out.

#9 seems to have that whole negative Japanese empire flag symbolism, but if that aside, it's rather stylish too.

I think the Chuck Norris one would be the easiest to not be embarrassed about in public.

Regardless, they're all beyond my artistic abilities. Kudos to the authors.

Hello. I've been reading Joystiq for awhile now, but hadn't felt the need to post untill now. I like shirts 2, 10, 11 and 12, but 7 and 15 are my favorite.

Since #7 won't win, can I have it and use it myself? Or should I just make my own?

I'd buy #9 and #11, especially #9. But they're all really good, so I just feel bad not voting for them all...except for #15.

#8, the Mecha Godzilla.

It'd look great on black and I have a soft spot for Mecha Godzilla, and this guy looks similar enough. I don't really prefer bright colors so this entry gets my vote on how nice it would look on black. I love the rays.

I'd also buy 9 and 10.

A lot of these look nice, but would look really bad on a t-shirt. Which is sad, because they're really nice art.

But it means that:

#6, #8, #9, #12, #14, and #15 are out.

#2, #3, #13 just don't make the cut.

#4...do we really want a Chuck Norris gag as the shirt? The design is very nicely done, but it screams, "We're hitching our wagon to a fad!" Plus, by the time you finish reading it, the average guy isn't going to get the joke, and attempt to beat your ass for disgracing The Norris.

#11 looks very They Might Be Giants-esque. I like it, but I think other designs fit the theme better. It'd be my first choice for alternate (2P) shirt, though, because I'd rather have two very different looks, rather than 2 that are very similar to each other in style.

#10 is nicely down with the peripherals and all, but, with the PSP Katamari being the last game, it also reeks of falling stardom. Also, potential lawsuits.

#7 I like, too...but it's got gaps in the TIMELINE! Where's the Atari 400? Where's the Xbox 360? If you could find a way to satisfy all the criteria, maybe something akin to a tour t-shirt with the release date and year of all major consoles (UK, NA, and JP.) I'd vote this one as the best. #12 on the front pocket, dates on the back. I'd buy one right now.

#5 is what I was immediately drawn to. However, I don't think there are many places that allow you to have the sleeves white, and the body another color. Also, dark brown is nasty. If it were navy blue or something, I'd give that my Fonzy. It's got the least wrong and the most right. Eyyyyyyy.

#9 and #15. 15 is hilarious.

My personal favourite is #10. Gotta love those Katamaris. # 9, 11, and 14 are also pretty sweet.

I like 9, 10, 11, and 12, but they all are very good.

1,2,3,5,10,11 are the best in my opinion. All of them are very well done though.

all of them r great. looks like alot of time and effort went into um. but i like #4(gotta love Chuck Norris lol), #5, and #7. i would buy either of them.

I love #3, good creativity, and integration with Tetris.

I'd realistically only wear 9 or 10.
Alot of the others are cool, but nothing I'd pay money for.

I'd have to say #9 is the best...it's creative and caught my eye. I know my boyfriend and all of his gamer friends would love it.

Can you seriously just use all of these? I never expected such amazing entries...

#7 should really go ahead and tack on 360, Rev, and PS3, despite having to be mildly speculative...oh, and I don't wear brown...can you make it black with white/blue text instead? If you make a color change, I totally would say that wins...

Dude I don't normally buy Stuff of the internet, but if #4 with Chuck Noris (or an alternative with Mr. T) gets picked I would buy it.

The first rule in the original contest was 'no intellectual property.'
Space Invaders, Godzilla, Tetris, Pacman, Chuck Norris... how are these are these not IP? Not to mention that industrial design counts as intellectual property (thus, anything featuring an established controller image).
80% of these could end up landing you in some serious legal trouble if you printed them

I'd buy 20 copies of number 10, katamari rocks my socks and so does joystiq!
