I could see something like Syndiq. Lawyers with their staff accepting missions to hunt down Joystiq staff and use mind controling retoric to sway them to their side or legal fees to outright kill them; but watch out for the Joystiq cyborg attorny/bodyguards!

Hey Joystiq - Can you expand a bit on what you'd want for a "fleshed-out written proposal"? Maybe sorta outline what it would need? I've never written a proposal before, but would love to send one in for this since I don't have the time to actually program a game myself.

Hope you guys see this. I always get here late for the good stories. :(

Wedge Talon --

The proposal can say anything you want -- describe the characters, the weapons, the play mechanics. Every aesthetic and gameplay-oriented thing (we don't need control schemes unless you have one so brilliant it should be judged on its merit). We aren't looking for one to say "it would use the Unreal Engine" because that, really, is not that creative -- anyone can write that. Show us why your game is fun, and give us as much detail to get us excited (how does someone die? what weapons? a puzzle game? Tetris on Ice?)

There isn't much criteria, just sell your game in as many words as you want.

I really don't understand why this sad little bastard JT is still at it. It's not just violent games he hates its all video games. I mean seriously why would anyone put so much effort in to such a petty and misguided cause?

What I mean is there are serious problems in this country such as drug addiction, poverty, hunger, unemployment, and so much more I could go on and on and on.

This rich prick is wasting a ton of resources, as well as not just his, but anyone that has to listen to his rants, time on trying to ban videogames.

Its all so very pointless, and it saddens me. I mean get a hobby man. If you think video games are polluting society so bad, then why dont you put some of this effort into doing something that might actually benefit society. Like community service. Drug prevention, or something.

Your answer is probably "they would play sports" or something. But in reality there would be a huge void there that would need to be filled, and in the inner city, its all too often that kids will turn to drugs to fill that void, or to escape boredom.
