BULLSH*T!
All the rumor around the 3.0 update started with some one saying, "My friend that works at Sony... blah, blah, blah..."

When I see it released by Sony on one of Sony's PSP official pages, THEN I will believe it.

This might be bullshit, but FUCKING HOLY SHIT, it's GOOD bullshit!
If I could Play Doom I+II, Quake II, Final Fantasy VII, GT 2 and GTA 2 on my PSP with just a simple download, I would have to quit work to play my dumbs numb!
I'm freaking excited about this. Visibly.

And regarding X and O as select: In the european (and maybe US) versions of the firmware, X is select and O is cancel. On the Japanese version (even if you switch languages to Japanese), it's the other way around.

yea this is fake, a nice fake, but a fake non-the-less. i say this 4 a couple reasons:

1) the "X" and "O" arent even with the "Download" and "Back" at the bottom of the screen

2) the background is exactly the same on both pics when just about anyone who has ever played a PSP knows that the background moves

3) that sideways "DOWNLOAD" thing is tacky. Sony would never put that there. its too much on 1 scene

4) come on. $15? i could get the same games at Game Crazy 4 $12. (not 2 mention the $40 i payed 4 it back in the day when i bought it the first time).(and it would b $14.99 anyway not $15).

5) that little playstation symbol in the bottom right corner. it would more than likely b lite blue like the 1 on Playstation.com cause this 1 doesnt match and not 2 mention that's where the little loading circle ripple thingy goes

6) and lastly, there is no "#" to select games that start with a number.

I haven't looked at the second screenshot.
Okay, it's total nonsense. The most solid reason is pointed out by B1gC72 before: Both backgrounds are the same, although it ought to be moving.

And then there're the game specs for GT2:
I *HARDLY* believe they have added a 2-6 players infrastructure game mode to this old game!
That's utterly bullshit.
Did the original game have more than 2 players at all, via link cable? I don't think so. And the thought that they've added multiplayer to GT2 just for a PSP port is quite far-fetched.
Additionally, as many games as listed in the screenshot wouldn't fit on one memory stick. GT2 alone had 2 CDs.

While this is probably fake, it would be REALLY cool if it wasn't. As someone who had a Genesis, Saturn, and N64 instead of a PS1 and PS2, I missed out on a lot of good games on those consoles but this would give me the chance to play what I was never able to. In fact, despite friends having those consoles, I only played PS1 twice and PS2 once. I'd totally be willing to pay a couple bucks per game to be able to play some of these games. I REALLY hope Sony does something like this, or at the very least puts up an online service where we can download some games even if they're newly developed minigames like what MS is currently doing with the Xbox Live Marketplace. The games are limited to around 30MB but are still highly entertaining and games like that would be great on PSP for when you've got a short wait for something and don't have time to get into the story of a full game or work from one save point to another. Sony has an awsome portable under their belt but it seems they're under-utilizing it's power and selling themselves (and us) a bit short.

Daniel Kun,

While I agree natively there might be some memory stick issues with holding that much storage, I dont see this as a problem when this actually comes to fruition.

I am assuming that they will re-compile, streamline code, etc etc. before they make these game availible.

You still have to admit, this is exciting.

Absolutely fake, these pics have already been disproven.

1) Those old games are not going to be retrofitted for multiplayer on the PSP, lol! No way.

2) $15 is waaay too much, and the price wouldn't be a nice round number, it would be something and .99, like $4.99

3) The date is in European format yet the price is in American dollars

4) No rhyme or reason for those list of games

5) Screen too cluttered, just doesn't look right.

i know that psone games are about 300MB but downloading that on a 1MB broadband will take too long and whats the point with all these games i can only download three of them on my IGB memory stick. another great idea is to make 3in1 psone games on UMD (exsample doom 1 and 2 and quake 2 alltogether) for about £5-£10.

The guy who photoshopped it didn't know that Q comes before T.

I was incredibly stoked to read this list of titles. DOOM, DOOMII, and QUAKEII are my favorite games of all time.
However, it dawned on me that DOOM and DOOM2 were never released individually on the PS1, they were only released together on a single CD. Because of this fact, I'm wagering that this screenshot is complete BS.

It's fake.

1) It's in alphabetical...Or so it seems. The Duke Nukem games aren't in order and Twisted Metal comes before Quake? Careless errors that fakers forget to fix.

2) The date is in European format, the currency is in American dollars.

3) If you google for the PSP wavy line background, you see this EXACT background. Open up Photoshop and overlap each image. The lines are exactly the same. Nice try at Photoshop...
