I dig the mod, but not in the way most'd expect. I just like it because bras are about as period for a medieval-esque fantasy game as a machine gun.

Of course, that means you'd need to change all the underwear for both sexes, of course, which I'd be all for. I get annoyed at some fantasy games that tend to eschew the medieval basis for their games or interject too much modern sensibility into it. I know the bra-removal (and burning... ) of this mod isn't any kind of historical statement-- hell, it's most likely as sophomoric as it seems, but I hope this means there will be more clothing mods which make more sense.

And before the trolls pounce, yeah, I know elves and ogres aren't historically medieval either... but wouldn't it detract from your gaming experience to see a Hummer, or an iPod, or a Balleys' Fitness ad in your fantasy game?

I will be a bit sophomoric and bash this mod. Not because of religious or political issues, but just based on the fact that it's stupid. You're playing as a topless player in a game that is primarily in first person view, WHAT'S THE POINT? Even when it's in third person view, you will for the most part see your player's back.

But my question is, does being able to see this skin mean that you have to have off all armor? If so, then that really makes it pointless, because you need armor and such in the game. So the nudity will be covered up, which would completely negate the mod in the first place.

If this were something to the extent of the hot coffee mod, then yes it could be a political statement, but this, this is just dumb. I am far from an advocate of government censorship, that's the parent's job to censor. But this is unnecessary, just for the fact of that the execution and small scope of impact this will have. No if there was an every character nude code, then it would be a statement, but this mod is nothing more than a reason for this guy to get his jollies from something that helps fulfill his old Thundercats fantasies. This guy needs to make a mod for the game that will make him kill himself in real life.

10. This is worse than the Hot Coffee mod. I am fuming mad about this travesty. Why won't people think of the children? This game should have been rated Adult Only and only sold in stores where kids can't get in.

I'm drafting up a letter of complaint about this right now for my congressman and I suggest the rest of you do the same unless you want people to think seeing the naked body is good. Next thing you know kids will think women should walk around topless, and believe their female friends/wives/sisters/mothers should become strippers and prostitutes to satisfy their lustful urges. We wear clothing because our bodies are sinful twisted versions of Gods perfect image, just seeing a naked body can corrupt a person so badly that they will become an abomination. Only though legislature and additional laws can we protect ourselves from weakness.

I am also starting up a campaign to require all pets to be clothed while in public. Having naked animals gives the impression that it is ok to see sexual organs, but we all know that many studies have proven that seeing a naked animal is the first step into wanting to see people naked and only one step away from complete chaos. Every single rapist had seen a naked animal at one point in their lives, and therefore we can easily conclude that this is the reason they are driven to treat women as sexual objects, not people.

Please, think of the children.

Think of the Children? Dumb ass! You want to think about something, think that most parents are not doing there jobs! I believe your kid turns out they way they were raised. Parents should be teaching their kids right from wrong. Parents are not teaching their kids how to act or treat others. Kids also are not disciplined enough anymore, if they do something wrong they should be punished so they don't do it again. Parents are entirely too soft when it comes to raising children anymore. If I did something really stupid when I was a kid then I had to face the consequences. It could have been being grounded, bar of soap or even the occassional belting. I would expect it and most of the time I deserved it! Then the good parents have to worry about child and youth services saying they will take your children away if you hit them! The parents that want to make up laws and shelter kids are the soft parents. No one should have to suffer from laws and censorship because you are unable to do your job correctly. If you aren't going to raise children right then maybe you shouldnt have any! Oh no, If our kids see this we might have to do our jobs! we don't want to do that lets just call our congressman and tell them we want a new law banning nude green monsters! To make things worse most Americans will sit idlely by and watch more laws being put into place without doing anything about it. We are losing more and more of our freedoms on a daily basis! I thought that was one reason we declared independance from England? What is going happen to the people who play with this mod ? Nothing, thats what. So they may see a tit or two, but honestly, all the tits and ass I´ve seen in my life has not made me a worse person. Some say they can't think of an instant where boobs would be used in this game. Think about the era. this game was before womens undergarments where even invented. So you kill a thief thats trying to rob you, and you in turn steal their armor. you think they'd be wearing a bra under that? it DOES improve realism. I often steal Dwarven armor off of my opponents, just because of the gold it brings in.

Now, with regards to this mod... If you don't have even a sliver of a sense of humor to accept it, Don't download the mod. nothing requires you to.

in terms of this mod fighting the government... it does. Bethesda Game Studios deliberately put this file into the game (although hidden) to rebel against what's happening to game studios, in terms of being forced to censor their games. yeah they know this would be another hot coffee like scandal, and it would be controversial. They added the mod knowingly it would be brought up, its great media for a good game. They probally sold 300,000 more copies due to it. As far as the other post I had made, maybe I misunderstood his sarcasm maybe I didn't who knows his intentions unless he tells us. This mod shouldnt really suprise anyone at this point in life. Anyone too incompetent to realise this was just an easy ruse to make more money. I seriously doubt game designers would make such easy coding if they didnt want it to be found.

I'm in America, too. But I really don't see the phobia we seem to have about that region. Topless doesn't seem that unusual in other countries, and I'm sure they aren't ALL mudering rapists. I'd really like to understand the mindset of someone who would complain about nudity or a sex act included in a game whose primary objective is to kill. i've never actually seen the hot coffe mod other than little snippets on various news shows (well if you count g4tv as being a news source.) but from what i gather it wasn't a rape. teaching our children that it is fun to kill and maim but to view the human figure nude is sinful is absurd. i have 3 kids and i personally limit their viewing of violent films. i don't shoo them out of the room if i am watching something with nudity. choosing what is apppropriate for your children should be left up to the individual. passing more restrictive laws is the governments way of telling us we really don't know how to raise our children.
most video games now a days are for males over 20 and every straight male i know loves boobs. just the word gives me a silly smirk that reminds me of my adolescence. my complaint about this mod has been voiced by other, what about some variance. some guys like large breasts and other guys like enormous breasts. so if they were going to go to the trouble of embedding the models in the game then go the extra mile and give us some flavor.

All right, theres no way to win this argument, but let me say this. As a 25yo male working 45 hours a week and with a girlfriend of 4 years who demands a lot of attention, I need to pack as much amusement into my free time as possible! Take a fun game and add in some boobs, two birds with one stone! And its not like this is a new idea, remember Conkers Bad Fur Day or Leisure Suit Larry? Its nothing to do the five knuckle shuffle to, but if it brings a grin to your face, what does it hurt?

But as previously noted, why do the lizard women have breasts? That is just a damnable outrage! God did not give cold blooded animals boobies! Maybe theyre not breasts, maybe argonians have egg pouches located on their chests for convience' sake.

No one in oblivion walks around in their bra, so installing the mod doesn't make people walk around topless, either. It's when you take the armor / clothing off their dead bodies that they become topless. Without the mod, when you strip a dead body of its clothing, the character is left wearing only some weird looking bikini underwear.

As far as realism goes, the game is set in a medieval fantasy world. Do you really think inhabitants of a medieval fantasy world would walk around wearing a bikini bra under their shirts? The panties that the female characters are wearing is also a fun detail - do medieval fantasy people wear thongs? Is that realistic? I don't think so. It would be much more realistic for them to be nude under their skirts, pants and shirts, or to wear a corset, or a chastity belt or something, god knows, but a bikini?

Also, the game is SHIPPED with these nipple textures. The bikini model is added to the original character body and is not actually part of it. I don't know about the panties though - I doubt Bethesda modelled penises for the game.

The fact that the lizard-women have breasts when they even speak in-game of the fact that they're hatched from an egg, and thus do not breast-feed or have any need for mammary glands, is kinda weird, though.

O.k. having installed this patch along with several others, including the very nifty portable bedroll. hey it sounded amusing i 've just installed the finally released Beta patch, in the hope of cureing the games seemingly random crash bug, it doesn't, but it does REMOVE THE NIPPLES from all skins, Like What the? they also haven't fixed bartering merchants gold does not decrese when selling them items a not altogether unpleasant bug but certainly one you think bethseda software would consider of higher priority than say partial nudity.also of interest the only live topless carracters a player is likely to encounter are either their own avartar or the very mad(read seriously twisted) worshipers of sheogorath the deadric god, otherwise the only topless npc are dead ones with looted corpses, which is a bit sic.

Then Edison invented the motion picture machine, and pornographic video was the most popular selling of all early video. The female body being depicted in video games nude is not unnatural, its the next step in the evolution of art. And bullshit thats not art, art comes from emotion, and is made to arouse a feeling in the viewer, and being horny is definately an emotion and a feeling. I am a 17 year old male, and I do not pleasure myself to video game nudity, I prefer my woman real. No implants, no lipo, no hair dye, shaving preffered.
