CAD gets my vote this week for reminding me of just how much working retail blows.

I found "Pause" to be the funniest because it's true.

Why did a lot of people vote for CAD? I think many did because it's simple and goes straight to the ridiculous insults to the customer. I didn't find that very funny, but if I'm missing something (as in sarcasm on how costumers are *really* treated), please explain.

pause is a rip off of the golden eye one from a few weeks back. If i hadn't seen that, I would have voted for it.

I don't really understand the Boooeeoww one. The one guy looks like he's wearing pokemon clothes... do they teleport in pokemon?

Miss Liberty made no sense to me and the first one didn't work.

Pac Man was pretty good but Pac Man comics are a dime a dozen.

I voted CAD as I work retail and it always drives me nuts when customers try and price match based on some random internet site. In a similar fashion, I really don't care whether customers buy stuff as it's not like i'm on commision.

STudent; yes, in Safron City, you have to enter Silph Co. which has teleporters that work exactly like that.

boots: You really have to have worked in retail to understand the CAD comic. Anyone who's worked in a Best Buy or Circuit City or even places like Staples (which is where I endured my three years of hell) knows the horror of which the comic speaks of.

First one probably just got destroyed by getting a Joystiq link, never heard of Digital Unrest before.

As for CAD, while entertaining, lacked two critical factors to really deserve a vote. 1, it is not all that creative. I read a lot of stuff like that in Acts of Gord and even further back when Bastard Operator from Hell and UseNet was still the big thing. Maybe it is the "be an ass to the customer in a customer-service reliant industry" for the new generation of internet users. 2, it really didn't have anything to do with gaming.

That said, the Press-Start has to take it. While not all that entertaining (weak week for comics), it was the best of those available.

Wow, sort of a slow week. At least they're all pretty.

Chose MacHall, because it had ninjas and an absurd take on what seems to be an absurd power (having not played CoV yet, I wouldn't really know). Press Start is never funny, and Ctrl Alt Del fell into its usual trap of using too many words to tell a joke that could be done in much less (The recent Kingdom Hearts one was better).

I think it was just sort of an off week for webcomics all-around. Even Penny Arcade wasn't that funny this week. Business should pick up next time.

I'm going to have to go with CAD because I too have worked in retail and have had to deal with situations where the customer wanted the cheaper price rahter than just being quiet and getting it at the Best Buy across the street. Like, literally across the street. I could see it where I was standing.

Hi, this is Chris, the author of Digital Unrest. Yeah, Joystiq's linkage raped the meagor servor resources I had dedicated to my site, haha. It's an honor to be in the wrap-up and I'm working on upgrading my hosting to get the comic back online.

That CAD comic is not about video games, so why is it there? I would think that this one would be more appropriate: http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20060403

As ususal, ExtraLife didn't even make me crack a smile. I voted for MacHall. I didn't get the reference, but it explained the situation enough for me to see the humor.

I wish the CAD comic from Alex Kwok's post was in this week's vote, though. Too funny.
