The demo has been out for over a week now, I picked it up at FilePlanet. Not too much press about it though. RoN was one of my favorite games ever, and from the demo this looks to be every bit as fun as the first. The main and side quests you get in the missions are fun and give you some chance at replaying it. cant wait!

I had a lot of fun with the original. I will have to give this a try (if I can pull myself from Oblivion that is...)

Agree with #2. I had a lot of fun with the original. Tried the ROL demo. Some annoying glitches with the demo though. Watch out.

Well if you guys had actually read the ReadMe file then you would know that it says that the demo is an UNOPTIMIZED version and is in no way representative of the final product.

Well, yeah. Duh. I want an OPTIMIZED version, so that its actually playable. I figured they would release a working demo and not a pre-release Beta.

Ya, I loved RON (took me a while to warm up to it), got this demo, ran fine was pretty fun. Didn't feel as cool as RON (to me RON was totally different when I played it from all other RTS gams ive palyed)this one, not so much but still has the big huge games flare.

This demo is much improved obviously from their E3 playable demo I tried in May (after scaring off one of the produces with my big huge games fanboyedness ha ha)

Still, can't wait for this release.

I dunno if I'd call RoN "different" since it revolved around real life civilizations like most other RTS games. Now the way it implemented some new elements were kind of cool and made it more dynamic instead "build building A then building B to equal building C, etc.)

I'm a huge fan of RoN as well but once you hit ability to make ICBMs the games balance seem to get screwed up b/c then it was uber easy to win by launch 2-3 ICBMs at once at a main city.
