New Super Mario: snowball fight!
OnNintendo.com has posted 12 titillating images of the highly anticipated New Super Mario Bros. Included
in the bunch, are some shots of several of the game's multiplayer mini-games — you may recognize them from
Super Mario 64 DS. This time around, you'll be able to enjoy them with friends.Also spotted, is a glimpse of one of the koopalings. Last month, we heard word that Bowser's demented offspring would stage a comeback in New Super Mario Bros., and this image seems to be the confirmation we were looking for. New Super Mario Bros. is currently scheduled for release on May 15 (North America) — June 30 in Europe.

Pants getting tight, but the name "New Super Mario Bros." is worse then the name "Mario 64." Who at Nintendo is in charge of naming these games??

Anyone else dissapointed by these 2.5D graphics? What made Super Mario World for the SNES so great was in my opinion the hand drawn sprites. These 3d-esque graphics just don't give me that nostalgic Mario Bros. feeling.

i couldn't agree more, some parts look fine but there are others (the sharks are the most notable example) of things that just don't seem to fit... and the 3d-esque thing is very true... it takes away some of the character i think.

I'm so on this I can't even make proper sentences. My first video game ever was Super Mario Bros. for the nes, and this brings back those fuzzy feelings.

Well I guess the game creator was lying when he said all of bowsers kids would be back, cause you know more then him right?
As for the gaphics, they look fine to me, I dont care if its mixed 2d and 3d. Its supposed to be oldschool feel with new Ideas. and becasue its 3d characters it makes the world more fluid and lively

He is right. That is just baby bowser. Other than the interview with the games creators there is no 'visual' proof that the koopalings return.
They are likely to be in there, according to the interview, but all footage/screens of the first world has shown only baby bowser.

No, we don't know more than the creator, but that image itself is not proof of the Bowser kids returning, since it is only Baby Bowser.

Yeah, I guess I need to clarify what I said for the flamebait club.
THAT PICTURE that is LINKED TO in THIS article shows BABY BOWSER who is NOT one of the original Koopa Kids. It was a simple FRIENDLY (I know that word is hard to understand) rebuttal to what the original poster said.

Why the F**K does everyone keep calling him "BABY BOWSER?!!!!!!!!!!!" G** Dammit! That's Bowser Jr., Bowser's youngest kid. Get it right. I mean I know he shares a resemblence to Bowser when he was a baby in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. However, we all know from Mario Sunshine that THIS bowser (with the kerchief) is Bowser Jr. who takes a likeness to his daddy. In fact he's been in the major sports titles and Mario Kart, and listed as Bowser Jr. not "Baby Bowser."
And as for the OTHER Koopalings, we have no idea if they're in there yet. If any of you have played New Super Mario Bros. all the way through, then you can say who's in the game or not.

There was a picture of Bowser Jr. in Nintendo Power also, but no Koopalings.
