This is pretty old (posted last
year, and before that as an e-mail message of unknown origin) but sure to put a smile on your face if you have never
seen it. Someone thought about what World War II would look like as an MMORPG (though, in all honesties, this sounds
more reminiscent of Counter-Strike or any strategy game) -- but instead of showing us screens and action, he
or she decided just to transcribe the "chat room" where all the players would communicate. Of course, as with
all online games, the chat more or less degrades into flaming and the ever-popular l33t sp33k that plagues the
internet. What is scary, and flat-out hilarious, is how accurate the dialogue is -- I would not be surprised if someone snatched this from a game of Starcraft, altered the names and a few terms, and called it World War II. It may be a bit antiquated (and, if we are using big words, anachronistic), but it's pretty funny. c u l8r tru_m4n!!11

Update: The ghost of Joystiq past, sent us this link, which features a few dozen more of these "War Games" chats. Don't forget to check out this awesome WWI moment -- thanks, Striegs!]
