Okay, This topic didn't offend me until someone said Jesus should direct a porno. That's just plain wrong. And it doesn't matter if Jesus is tired of saving people and all that, He still wouldn't play something that completely went against His views. Topics about religion do not offend me, until there's that one person who says something completely uncalled for and stupid.

I don't think Jesus would play demon killing games. He never killed demons in the New Testament. He was always telling them to leave or go into that flock of pigs. I'm pretty sure he'd definitely stay clear of any killing games and stick to puzzle games.

What about Lemmings? Jesus would probably enjoy trying to save them all, that's what he does right?

Definitely multi-player games: Mario Party, Halo, DDR...

Jesus went and hung out with the scum of the earth, so he would definitely do the same when playing video games.

P.S. He might have to watch out for Judas while playing co-op Halo.

As a note to the editors here, I can only assume this was previously deleted by mistake. I have removed various html tags and changed my screenname (the previous- asdfjkl;- may have contained invalid letters perhaps?). However, if this was not a mistake of technical error, I would like to know what the issue is. On to the bulk of my post...

csokn: You make some good points, but Islam IS inherently violent. Though most muslims do not practice this (aside from the few fanatics we like to dub terrorists), here are some excerpts from the Koran.

IX. 5-6: Kill those who join other gods with God wherever you may find them.

VIII.39-42: Say to the Infidels: if they desist from their unbelief, what is now past shall be forgiven; but if they return to it, they have already before them the doom of the ancients! Fight then against them till strife be at an end, and the religion be all of it God's.

Freezair:
Jesus' philosophy was largely built around His Godhood. If you do not believe that, then you have already claimed that Jesus was a liar, therefore directly contradicting much of His teachings.

Well, Jesus might be a Nintendo fanboy, but he'd play Ico. Duh.

Err...a large chunk of the posts were deleted. My second post (now my first) was post number 51, it's now number 30-something.

I don't understand why a debate about the religion about the founding fathers would be deleted, while comments about Jesus directing pornography would be left on here. Doesn't make any sense. One is an intellectual debate (in which insults were _not_ slung about, mind you) while the other is a direct (stupid) attack on Christianity meant to start a fight.

This is similar to the current common social doctrines of intolerance (of Christianity only) and racism (against white males only.)

Casey Chesnut,

First, the passage from Luke you quote is not from Christ, but rather is a line from a wealthy ruler in a parable He offered. It's rather like attributing dialogue from "In Cold Blood" to Truman Capote, as his own words.

Second, there is as much non-christian historical evidence of the existence of Christ as there is for the existence of Tiberius, the Roman Emperor at the time of Christ's crucifixion.

Third, you might need to learn that the positivist definition of fact is not the only valid definition. Besides, positivism is soooooo 1932.
